Job Title: Real Estate Finance – Reengineering AVP

The Real Estate (“RE”) Finance team is responsible for the preparation of financial performance, forecasting, and valuation reporting of the RE business. The team primarily provides support to business management and investment professionals while addressing a variety of investor relations, management reporting, and operational priorities. The AVP would be responsible for supporting technology initiatives across the RE finance team.

Responsibilities:

Reengineering Advancements: Partner with finance and technology teams on strategic business initiatives and automation projects to enhance and streamline reporting processes on a global scale. This role involves UAT activities (testing, documentation, and support), data migration (planning, execution, and validation), and data governance. Areas of focus (which may change with business needs) include:

  • Project management: Develop and maintain project tasks and timelines and prepare management updates
  • Performance fee calculation: Validating and building performance fee “waterfall” models and systems to support both actual and hypothetical scenarios
  • Business performance reporting: Expanding and testing systems used to summarize global RE business results for senior leadership
  • SEC reporting: Develop technology pipeline to streamline data from system of origin to system of reporting for public company reporting
  • Database governance: Implement processes and procedures to build user confidence in system data. Responsible for data migration, validation, and governance

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Math, Accounting or Economics
  • Strong academic record
  • 5+ years in a business analyst, project management, consulting, or Private Equity / Real Estate role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; effectively conveys complex topics clearly to a non-technical audience
  • Collaborate across teams, summarize issues, develop recommendations, and make decisions
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word);
  • Experience building and working with large data validation files (Pivots, V-Lookups)
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Detail-oriented, effectively multitasks and delivers under tight deadlines;
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic that thrives on complexity and solution finding

Expected annual base salary range:

$130,000 - $200,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
