Job Description:
Blackstone Credit & Insurance (BXCI) is seeking to add a Senior Associate to its Structuring team within the Office of the Chief Investment Officer (OCIO).
The Structuring team is primarily responsible for
originating and executing structured investments across BXCI; creating and managing rated vehicles to deliver BXCI’s origination in an efficient manner for our investors; owning relationships across rating agencies and banks for structured solutions; working closely with sales team and portfolio managers for ongoing maintenance of structures; collaborating with other functions within OCIO and the broader BXCI platform; and preparing models, analysis, memos, and presentations regarding the aforementioned topics.
The candidate will work closely with all OCIO functions, origination teams, individuals across the broader platform, and senior-level management to execute on these responsibilities. Candidates can expect to work on numerous initiatives at a time given the lean size of the team.
Additional key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
End-to-end process management across all structured deals including:
Asset/Portfolio due diligence
Modeling of proposed structure
Preparation of investment committee material
Review of legal documentation
Management of rating agencies and external stakeholders
Data analysis and qualitative observation to identify trends across rating agency methodologies and the broader market
Helping to develop and maintain portfolio management and monitoring tools to support ongoing structure management
Content creation, for both internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications:
Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, have sound judgement, intelligent, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong analytical skills, the successful candidate should meet the following qualifications:
Undergraduate degree
2+ years of experience, ideally within investment banking, management / strategy consulting, or advisory / related valuation or transaction services. Experience and familiarity with structuring and credit investing / leveraged finance markets is a plus
Strong financial analysis, data management, and presentation skills
A high degree of proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
Detail-oriented
Critical thinking skills, including identifying trends and insights from raw data sets
Highly motivated; works well independently
Effectively manages multiple tasks, deadlines, and responsibilities
Strong interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally and manage both internal and external business relationships

Expected annual base salary range:
$160,000 - $215,000Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
