Job Description:
The COO’s team is seeking a highly motivated and driven Associate to join our Credit and Insurance business. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the organization's strategic direction by managing key initiatives, preparing materials for executive engagements, and fostering alignment within the team. We are looking for someone who is both effective in their work and invested in the success of the team as well as the broader organization. This position calls for an innovative thinker who can prioritize tasks effectively and deliver outstanding results, all while embodying a positive and solutions-focused attitude.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational and communication skills, as well as a high degree of emotional intelligence to navigate across firm functions and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a proactive individual who anticipates strategic needs, balances competing priorities, and executes initiatives with precision. The role requires operating at both an enterprise-wide level, maintaining perspective on overarching priorities, while also engaging deeply in the development and execution of business strategies across private and public markets. It involves close collaboration with various teams across the organization to ensure seamless coordination of activities that align with the overall strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Initiative Management:
Assist in the development and execution of strategic initiatives that further the organization’s goals.
Organize and lead preparation for key internal discussions, ensuring alignment on strategic priorities.
Track and report on key performance indicators and business metrics across the platform.
Support integration efforts related to acquisitions or new business initiatives within the credit and insurance ecosystem.
Draft presentations, reports, and communications for senior-level leadership, articulating strategic insights and recommendations.
Partner with senior-level leadership on strategic planning cycles, including business reviews, strategic initiatives, and performance tracking across credit and insurance platforms.
Manage key deliverables related to strategic projects, ensuring deadlines are met and stakeholders remain accountable.
Perform ad hoc analyses and work on special projects as needed.
Communications:
Collaborate with internal communications teams to develop materials that effectively convey strategic objectives and updates.
Prepare internal communications, including organizational announcements and updates on strategic initiatives.
Coordinate and execute comprehensive communication plans for organizational strategies or initiatives.
Workplace Culture and Organizational Initiatives:
Collaborate with leadership on the development and refinement of the operating model, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Support the implementation of initiatives that enhance workplace culture and employee engagement.
Qualifications:
Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who work well in a team-driven environment, are highly motivated, intelligent, have sound judgment, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:
3+ years of relevant experience in investment banking (credit or asset management), consulting, strategy, or rotational management programs.
Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
Strong record of academic achievement and/or professional accomplishments.
Proven skills managing projects, prioritizing effectively, and delivering results in a dynamic environment.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; adept at crafting clear, concise, and professional reports and presentations.
Strong interpersonal skills; engages effectively with leadership and internal teams.
Highly organized with keen attention to detail; effectively manages multiple priorities simultaneously.
Proactively identifies organizational needs and strategic opportunities.
Builds trust and fosters productive relationships with professionalism.
Thrives in a collaborative environment and works cohesively across functions to drive strategic objectives.
Comfortable working with limited direction at times and exercising strong judgment.
Self-starter.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and familiarity with communication tools.

Expected annual base salary range:
$125,000 - $150,000Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
