2027 Blackstone Private Wealth Summer Analyst, Tokyo

Blackstone Private Wealth was established to answer the growing demand for Blackstone products from high-net worth investors. Partnering with many of the world’s largest private banks and wealth management firms as well as family offices, Blackstone’s Private Wealth team packages and delivers the full breadth of Blackstone’s alternative product capability to these firms and their clients and provides ongoing product and advisor support, as well as education and training around alternatives.

Job Description:

Blackstone’s Private Wealth Campus program is a unique experience among financial firms, enabling Summer Analyst to gain exposure to all aspects of the asset management business. The summer analyst role is focused on supporting several areas of PW in capacities ranging from marketing and sales to product strategy and business development.

The role will be working closely with PW members globally and will have interface with various internal stakeholders including investment teams, legal/compliance department, and other groups within the firm.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is keen to gain experience at one of the world class Alternative Investment firms, would like to participate in one of the fastest growing businesses at Blackstone. In addition to gaining substantial product knowledge and supporting the growth of PW in the region, the role will also develop familiarity across other important aspects including marketing, strategic planning, legal documentations, product operations and more.

Client Coverage

  • Establish and grow relationships with distribution partner home offices, business leads, research teams, fund origination and operations professionals, and provide on-going sales and support to build Blackstone brand awareness, thought leadership and deliver sophisticated alternative product solutions to our key distribution partners in Japan
  • Collaborate closely with internal Blackstone colleagues across the firm, including within and outside of Private Wealth and the investment business units to build pipelines, generate home office interest, onboard funds, and partner on fundraising

Sales and Promotion

  • Maintain a high-level of client service by responding to inbound inquiries and working with colleagues across Blackstone and PW (including investments, legal/compliance department, finance, and other groups within the firm) to resolve clients’ issues as an internal sales.
  • Provide strong support to the full fundraising cycle end-to-end by working closely with global and local colleagues across different functions, from client onboarding, product launches and post-launch services.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and articulate Blackstone’s sophisticated products. (fund objectives, terms, exposures, characteristics, positioning, performance, etc.)

Investor Services

  • Support new product launches and investor onboarding through structured project management and the development of scalable solutions, in coordination with various teams.
  • Deliver ongoing investor servicing by working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure superior client experience for Blackstone clients.
  • Assist in overseeing service providers to maintain best‑in‑class investor services across Blackstone’s alternative investment platform.
  • Collaborate with global Investor Services, PW Japan, and other business partners to develop a comprehensive understanding of Blackstone’s products, fund structures, and lifecycle processes.

Product Strategy

  • Design new product structures that align with appropriate regulatory frameworks to provide Blackstone’s flagship products to Japanese private wealth clients.
  • Conduct research and analysis of Blackstone’s diverse investment strategies and the global competitive landscape to deepen team knowledge and identify potential business opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with the PW team to support day-to-day product strategy tasks, including market research and the preparation of materials.

Qualifications:

Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who work well in a team-driven working group, are highly motivated, intelligent, have sound judgment and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. Our PW Japan business is newly created business unit in Japan therefore entrepreneurship is preferred.

To be considered for the 2027 Summer Analyst Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Currently enrolled as a fulltime undergraduate / Master (Non-MBA) at the university. If you are pursuing a master’s degree, you should have no more than 1 year of fulltime working experience.
  • Anticipated graduation date
    • Non-Japan universities: September 2027 - June 2028.
    • For Japan universities: December 2027 – March 2029
  • Fluent or bilingual in Japanese and English (both written and spoken)
  • Prior internship experience within the financial services industry is preferred (asset management, wealth management or alternatives experience preferred)
  • Resume must include graduation month/year and GPA of undergraduate and postgraduate degree(s) if applicable.

  • June to July 2027 (8-week)
