Bloomberg Electronic Trading Solutions (ETS) trading platforms are supported with Enterprise solutions to provide end-to-end workflows. This way, clients can stage, monitor, trade, allocate and perform TCA on their trades from the Bloomberg Terminal for each asset class, whilst seamlessly interacting with their buy-side and sell-side Order Management Systems.
What's the role?
As an ETS Derivatives salesperson, you will be responsible for driving new business over our market leading Futures and Options platforms. As well as managing and supporting existing clients to further grow our Electronic Trading franchises across our Listed Derivatives offering. By developing deep, value-focused relationships with our clients, brokers and FCM partners, we engage with them on how our Derivatives tools and solutions can help them grow and advance their business.
Growing Bloomberg ETSs’ portfolio of clients and revenue, comes through developing a deep understanding of our clients business, workflows and their specific electronic trading (“ET”) needs. You should look to grow business from existing clients as well as on boarding new clients to our trading platforms, you will be driving impact for Bloomberg ETS as well as the overall Enterprise Sales departments.
As the forefront of our client engagement, you will be encouraged to capture, coordinate and share product feedback with other internal partners (ie: Product, Sales Management etc) to ensure we continue to deliver what the market requires for Bloomberg to become or remain the leading ET provider in all areas where we compete.
We'll trust you to:
- Develop a sound understanding of Bloomberg’s products, how they integrate with financial markets and have the ability to position our solutions to your clients
- Collaborate with your clients to help define gaps in their workflow to drive an increase their usage of the terminal and marquee products
- Be a self-starter and own the coverage region including monitoring at-risk users to defend the Bloomberg business
- Run usage campaigns, both self-initiated to achieve business targets and management driven initiatives
- Demonstrate a strong level of Bloomberg customer type knowledge, by understanding how that player type makes money, does their job, and use technology
- Be able to demonstrate functionality and workflows of applicable Bloomberg solutions that improve a specific customer type's need
- Contribute innovative ideas that anticipate, and address client needs
- Participate actively in new projects that drive departmental and firm-wide initiatives
We expect you to have:
- A solid understanding of Exchange Traded Derivatives
- Financial markets knowledge and awareness of current and upcoming regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Experience servicing clients in the electronic trading space (knowledge of different platforms and solutions offered).
- Understanding of STP, FIX and OMS/EMS integration
- Experience in Sales, Relationship management and/or Trading Support
