These indices underpin trillions of dollars of trades and assets under management, and hundreds of high profile clients rely on them daily to make critical business decisions.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Software Engineer to join the Platform Infrastructure team, where you will play a critical role in building the technical foundation that enables our Index Engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions. You will design, develop, and maintain the infrastructure and tools that power our index calculation, data loading, and display capabilities, allowing our engineers to focus on writing business logic that drives the index business forward. Your work will have a direct impact on the scalability, reliability, and performance of our systems, and you will collaborate closely with our product, operations, and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.

We'll trust you to:

- Use all your experience to become a custodian of the data that is foundational to index.

You'll need to have:

- Experience with an object-oriented programming language (ideally C#)

- A Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, similar field of study or equivalent work experience

- Deep understanding of data structures and algorithms

- An aptitude for analytical and creative problem solving and an ability to get into the detail of complex issues

- Excellent skills for daily interaction with our business stakeholders

- Exposure to all phases of the software development lifecycle
- Ability to help expand the framework to cater for the growing index needs of our clients

We'd love to see:

- Some knowledge of SQL

- Experience distinguishing garbage collection generations from your lambda expressions

- Previous experience building software for the finance/trading domain

- An enthusiasm for Agile
