Bloomberg
Operations
Singapore
Posted on Sep 15, 2025
Corporate Philanthropy is core to the culture of Bloomberg. We focus on giving back in the cities in which we live and work, and we harness the talents of our employees and the resources of our business to create lasting social impact and deepen engagement with our colleagues, clients, and cultural and charitable partner organizations around the world. This involves close collaboration with other Bloomberg business areas, as well as coordination of the company's volunteer engagement with cultural and charitable organizations across APAC.
What’s the role:
Our ideal candidate for the Senior Program Manager role based in Singapore will be an expert relationship manager who excels in a high-volume, high-standards environment, and who is excited by the opportunity to build and implement programs that not only benefit our non-profit partners, but that reinforce Bloomberg’s unique culture and our commitment to social causes that are meaningful to our employees and the community.
It is imperative that you be as comfortable talking about and leading business strategy as you are rolling up your sleeves to manage and participate in volunteer projects that range from packing meals for the elderly to planting trees in local parks.
You will work closely alongside colleagues in other APAC locations, as well as New York and London. You should have the ability to work independently, be able to prioritize and multi-task, as well as have the confidence in dealing with a wide range of people and projects at various levels. A flexible attitude in terms of hours and approach is essential.
We’ll trust you to:
- Identify, establish relationships and manage relationships for our partners across Singapore and ASEAN
- Evaluate non-profit partners’ grant proposals and make funding recommendations to the APAC Regional Philanthropy Lead
- Collaborate with Philanthropy Operations on diligence and legal agreements for non-profit partnerships
- Lead our Data for Good Exchange program and our partnership with Sales as well as our anchor partners
- Manage and execute skills-based and “extra-hands” volunteer programs, including program development, volunteer recruitment, on-site event support, metrics entry, attendance tracking, and pre- and post-event communications
- Manage and execute non-volunteer events for employees and clients at cultural institutions, including everything from venue and catering selection to invitation and RSVP management to post-event assessment, often in collaboration with Bloomberg’s marketing and sales teams
- Collaborate with regional counterparts on larger global programs as well as knowledge-sharing and best practices
- Respond to internal and external questions about Bloomberg’s Corporate Philanthropy
- Draft executive briefs on partnerships and programs
- Maintain high-quality records in our events, CRM, and grants management systems with strong attention to detail
- Leverage technology including AI for greater efficiency
- Provide ad hoc support for special projects at the direction of the APAC Regional Lead
You’ll need to have:
- A minimum of 8 years prior work experience, with some part in philanthropy or CSR roles
- Recent work experience in the local philanthropy landscape
- Hands-on experience in designing and executing volunteer programs
- Experience collaborating with senior internal and external stakeholders
- Capacity to influence and direct others, often without direct-line reporting authority
- Strong account and project management skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Problem solving and sound judgement to resolve issues
- Strong presentation and communication skills in English
- Humility, enthusiasm, discretion, and integrity in spades
- Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organization
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
