About the team:

The Company Data & Analytics team builds the platforms and tools that power company financials across the Bloomberg Terminal, our APIs, and Enterprise products—including flagship functions such as Financial Analysis (FA), Analyst Recommendations (ANR), and Estimates & Models (MODL). We steward the full lifecycle of a data point: from ingestion and processing, through data modelling and taxonomy, to API design and front‑end applications.
The role:
We’re seeking an experienced product manager to help drive our company financials data platform—a cross‑team capability that supports internal product groups and external clients. You’ll partner closely with Research Management Solutions (RMS) to design the tools, schema and syntax that allow clients to upload and analyse their own company financial data, and you’ll collaborate with our Private Markets team to extend these capabilities beyond the public universe. This role suits a strong collaborator who can articulate strategy while diving into bottom‑up technical detail.
We will trust you to:
  • Influence the product strategy for the company financials data platform; set OKRs aligned to client value and internal adoption.
  • Map and improve client workflows (buy‑side research, company financial modelling) and translate them into clear product requirements and technical specs.
  • Design and evolve API syntax and standards for company financials (naming, versioning, pagination, error models), simplifying complex queries.
  • Deliver client upload & validation tooling with RMS (e.g., schema templates, mapping to internal taxonomy, validation rules, error reporting).
  • Support Private Markets expansion by shaping data coverage and schema extensions.
  • Write clear product artefacts (PRDs, API/SDK docs, acceptance criteria) and run discovery with design, engineering, and go‑to‑market teams.
  • Measure impact via adoption, retention, query success rates, API latency/usability, and coverage/accuracy metrics; iterate based on telemetry and client feedback.
You will need to have:
  • 7+ years’ product management experience (including data platforms, analytics, or APIs).
  • Proven ability to define product strategy and OKRs, craft value propositions, and choose effective channels of delivery.
  • Technical fluency: comfortable discussing architecture and evaluating design trade‑offs with engineering (schemas, APIs, performance, reliability).
  • Experience designing data models and APIs (REST/SDKs).
  • Knowledge of research analyst workflows and company financial data (financial statements, KPIs; IFRS/US GAAP familiarity).
We'd love to see:
  • Exposure to Private Markets data and workflows.
  • Experience with RMS or similar research management solutions.
  • Background with XBRL, taxonomy mapping, and data validation at scale.
  • Agile/Scrum delivery experience.
  • Degree (BSc/MSc/PhD) in a STEM field, Economics, or Finance; CFA is a plus.
  • Experience building or managing SaaS data products.
