What’s the Role?
At Bloomberg Finance we are committed to providing world-class support to our business partners by providing insight on business performance, financial oversight and thought leadership.

We are seeking a Senior Finance Specialist to support Bloomberg’s Buyside business, partnering closely with senior stakeholders to drive strategic insight, decision-making, and execution. This role sits at the intersection of finance, strategy, and data, requiring a proactive self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and can translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights.

The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor, using financial and commercial acumen to influence outcomes, identify opportunities, and support the continued growth and evolution of Bloomberg’s Buyside offering.

We’ll Trust You To:
• Serve as a strategic finance partner to the Buyside leadership team, providing insight and challenge to support key business decisions
• Analyze complex financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, delivering succinct and impactful insights
• Drive initiatives end-to-end, from problem definition through analysis to execution and follow-through
• Operate effectively in ambiguous and fast-moving environments, bringing structure, clarity, and direction
• Develop clear narratives and recommendations for senior stakeholders, distilling complexity into actionable outcomes
• Take ownership of ad hoc strategic projects, proactively identifying areas for improvement or growth
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Engineering, and other Finance teams to ensure alignment and impact

You'll Need to Have
• 7+ years of financial experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related fields
• Experience partnering with senior business partners to assist in decision making
• Ability to work with large amounts of data, while succinctly summarizing conclusions for management
• Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks are required
• Flexibility to work in a fast-moving environment
• Superior Microsoft Excel skills (VBA a plus)
• Team player with ability to deal with changing priorities

We'd Love to See:
• Experience in financial services or a financial data provider industry a strong plus
• Flexibility to work in an entrepreneurial and fast-moving environment
• High curiosity level and desire to learn
• Familiarity with the Bloomberg terminal is useful, but not required
• Experience with Enterprise software applications e.g. SAP
• Experience with data visualization applications e.g. Tableau or Qlik
