What’s the role?
Facilities Operations is accountable for consistent, right-sized, and data-driven operations of our global space portfolio in line with agreed standards, ensuring every site operates safely, sustainably and efficiently. We balance risk, cost, and experience while continuously maintaining and improving our offices. We know our sites, spaces, and environments intimately, combining data and user insight to anticipate operational needs and own the employee and visitor (or workplace) experience.
We partner with the wider facilities expertise (Design, Capital, Real Estate, Infrastructure Teams) to advocate for our sites and drive informed on-ground decisions.
As the Facilities Site Manage, you will play a critical role in ensuring Bloomberg's facilities reflect its culture of excellence and innovation. You will be responsible for our commercial office in Pune. You will oversee facilities operations, lead operational budget planning, support multi-year capital planning, drive sustainability initiatives, and use metrics and data integrity to continuously improve services. By collaborating closely with internal teams, business stakeholders, vendors and building management, you will help shape an exceptional workplace for employees and guests alike.

Vendor & Building Management Partnership:
- Partner with all Workplace Operations departments including Infrastructure and Workplace Experience to deliver a strong vendor partnership within office operations.
- Establish beneficial and lasting partnership with building management and landlord to ensure overall excellent building operation & maintenance, and drive key discussion and alignment that benefit Bloomberg operational and business goals.
- Monthly operational review and quarterly QBR with 3rd party providers to ensure operational excellence and high-quality performance throughout all levels of facilities operations.
- Monitor vendor performance and partner with vendor leadership team to address any issues, strengthen the partnership, and provide adjustments to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Proactively integrate sustainability principles (SOG’s), including energy efficiency, waste reduction, and water conservation, into all facilities operations and vendor contracts.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Establish constructive relationship with business stakeholders to ensure facilities service standard and goals align with business needs.
- Be in touch with stakeholders and employees' feedback and drive continuous improvement and excellent change management.
- Influence with facilities expertise and enable business & office communities for collective decision making for the office and communities.
Annual Capital & Operational Planning:
- Lead operational budget planning and support the multi-year capital planning process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and financial accuracy to plan, execute, and oversee various projects to enhance our facilities.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including design and capital projects to build and manage the multi-year capital plan to prioritize projects and allocate resources effectively.
Program Continuous Improvement:
- Lead initiatives to continuously improve facility operations and maintenance processes - including continuous review of SOPs supporting global SLAs and regional execution.
- Use metrics and data-driven insights to monitor performance and enhance operational efficiency. Support global implementation and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and enhance operational excellence and hit management committee metrics.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement among the facilities team to ensure office facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained.
- Oversee the successful delivery of facilities routine maintenance and repairs and manage emergency response procedures to ensure compliance with internal BCP, relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards.
Budget Management:
- Oversee development and management of annual budget for Pune, ensuring cost-effective operations and on-budget/on-time delivery.
- Support vendor partners in development of financial reports and forecasts for senior management.
- Liaison with CFO team across the region for operations related to all facilities budget, opex and capex planning.
Drive partnership and collaboration with our business partners:
- Partner with all Facilities Office teams including Infrastructure, Capital Project, Design, and Global Real Estate, to advocate for the needs of the site, and deliver the right-sized solutions.
- Collaborate effectively with the above partner teams to ensure a robust support for the expected growth of the Pune office – from the capital project support, providing the right spaces for the Pune business, to offering creative operational solutions to the growing business and space portfolio.
You'll need to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in facilities management, including vendor management and project oversight.
- Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency practices.
- Experience managing complex projects with measurable success.
- Familiarity with workplace technologies and tools that support operations and sustainability initiatives.
- Business proficiency in English and Hindi to liaise with vendors and stakeholders
