Bloomberg’s AI Sourcing team is dedicated to identifying and engaging exceptional technical talent—software engineers, engineering managers, data professionals, and other highly specialized roles. As an essential part of our broader talent acquisition strategy, you’ll partner closely with recruiters, engineering leaders, and HR to build strong, data-driven pipelines that meet both immediate and long-term hiring needs.
We are looking for a data-driven AI Sourcer to revolutionise how we identify and engage world-class technical talent. Rather than just "filling seats," you will leverage cutting-edge AI tools and bespoke search strings to map out the most competitive engineering and research talent pools across the UK and EMEA.
We’ll Trust You To:
  • Proactively source and engage top AI talent every day by consistently identifying and reaching highly qualified AI and Machine Learning engineers through hands-on sourcing across LinkedIn Recruiter, conference attendee lists, research publications, GitHub, technical communities, and other relevant channels. This role is grounded in disciplined execution — actively finding, engaging, and building relationships with exceptional talent.
  • Conduct intelligent market mapping using a mix of traditional sourcing methods (LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, Stack Overflow) and emerging AI-driven sourcing platforms to identify high-potential and passive candidates within specialised AI markets.
  • Craft highly personalised and compelling outreach that resonates with specialised AI and Machine Learning engineers, translating complex technical roles into meaningful career opportunities.
  • Partner closely with recruiters, engineering managers, and technical leaders to understand role requirements, team dynamics, and long-term workforce plans.
  • Track and analyse pipeline metrics including conversion rates and top-of-funnel data to continuously optimise sourcing effectiveness and hiring velocity.
  • Apply inclusive sourcing practices and de-biasing techniques to ensure shortlists reflect a broad range of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
You’ll need to have
  • 4+ years of experience in sourcing or recruitment (agency or in-house), with hands-on expertise in Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, and advanced search methodologies.
  • Technical Literacy: You don’t need to code, but you must understand the difference between PyTorch and TensorFlow, and be able to speak the language of CV/NLP researchers.
  • The "Hunter" Mindset: A genuine passion for the chase and the ability to find the "needle in the haystack."
  • Local Market Knowledge: An understanding of the EMEA tech a deep understanding of social platforms, online communities, and talent research strategies.
