Bloomberg’s Index business in the Americas is experiencing significant growth across fixed income, equity, and multi-asset classes. This role offers an opportunity to influence strategy and deepen engagement in some of the most dynamic institutional client segments globally. What’s the Role?

We are seeking a Team Leader to oversee Bloomberg’s Americas Index Sales coverage for Asset Owners, Financial Institutions, and Insurance clients, based in New York. Within this role, you will be responsible for managing, motivating, and leading a team of Relationship Managers and Account Managers focused on deepening engagement and expanding index adoption across this diverse client base.

Your team will manage and grow business with insurance companies (general accounts and annuity providers/issuers), financial institutions (from global investment banks to regional and foreign banks), asset owners (public and private pensions, endowments, foundations), and third-party platforms and index redistributors.

Each client vertical—Asset Owners, Financial Institutions, and Insurance—requires tailored engagement and commercial strategies. You’ll shape the go-to-market approach for these segments to drive adoption of Bloomberg indices. You’ll own the sales target for the segment and partner closely with our Core, Product, Implementation, and Enterprise Sales teams to deliver index-based solutions that meet client needs. This is a high-visibility role that requires both strategic leadership and direct engagement with senior stakeholders across the Americas.

We’ll Trust You To:

· Set, communicate, and execute a growth strategy for the Asset Owner / Financials / Insurance vertical in alignment with broader Americas Index business goals.

· Lead, coach, and develop a team of Relationship Managers and Account Managers, fostering collaboration, professional development, and accountability for results.

· Partner with Core, Product, Implementation, and Enterprise Sales teams to deliver cohesive client-focused Bloomberg solutions.

· Establish and maintain senior client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor on index strategies, custom index development, and data usage.

· Drive revenue growth through both new business and expansion of existing relationships across fixed income, equity, commodity, currency, and multi-asset index solutions.

· Collaborate internally with Product, Research, and Sales leadership to align on commercial priorities and client-driven innovation.

· Represent the client voice within the organization—providing structured feedback to shape Bloomberg’s index roadmap and product enhancements.

· Oversee pipeline management and forecasting, ensuring consistent execution against commercial goals.

· Promote cross-sell opportunities across Bloomberg’s data, analytics, and enterprise solutions ecosystem.

· Engage directly with key strategic accounts, supporting your team on high-value opportunities and complex negotiations.

You’ll Need to Have:

Sales & Relationship Management

· A proven track record of success in index, data, or financial product sales to institutional clients.

· Demonstrated ability to build, maintain, and monetize senior-level relationships (including C-suite and heads of investment strategy, risk, or capital markets).

· Experience managing complex sales cycles and negotiating commercial terms.

· 10+ years of relevant sales or relationship management experience in financial markets.

· Proven success in developing and executing results-driven strategies while managing multiple priorities.

Market & Product Knowledge

· Deep understanding of insurance general account investment workflows, annuity design and index-linked solutions, and asset owner investment processes.

· Familiarity with index construction and administration, risk and performance analytics, and the role of benchmarks and investable indices in institutional portfolios.

· Knowledge of ESG, Factor, and Structured Index strategies, as well as structured products and their applications across institutional portfolios.

· Strong grasp of US and Canadian market trends, regulatory environments, and institutional client needs.

· Ability to articulate Bloomberg’s value proposition across data, analytics, and index services.

· A drive to improve knowledge of the Bloomberg ecosystem, both internally and externally, as it continually evolves with new products and functionality.

· Ability to translate strategy into clear commercial goals and operational plans.
