What's the team?
Bloomberg Trade Order Management System (TOMS) is a multi-asset class workflow solution. TOMS suite delivers tools for trade capture, inventory and risk management, electronic order flow, regulatory reporting and compliance. Our clients can use a variety of integration and automation tools to achieve straight-through processing and reduce operational risk. Front, middle, and back-office operations benefit from a full range of solutions for cash and derivatives instruments including electronic trading, allocations management, tools for all compliance needs and pre-integration to multiple third-party back offices.
What's the role?
An exciting opportunity has opened up to join the TOMS Sales team in Tokyo as an Account Manager, with the focus on up-selling to our existing customer base in Japan. The team work very closely with the rest of the enterprise sales-force to generate new revenue streams for Bloomberg and establish TOMS at the centre of a firm's technology stack. Working with the terminals sales group to identify market trends is crucial as it allows the team to grow revenue by spotting opportunities beyond the existing strategies in place.
In order to become the best Sell-side risk and trading solution in the financial markets, the team also has a strategic focus of influencing future development of TOMS. This ensures the expansion and growth of the product suite, by collaborating across Enterprise Product to enhance our pricing, risk, post-trade, UX and workflow components.
In this role, you'll be responsible for building deep client relationships, uncovering sales opportunities through client interactions and prospecting, and positioning TOMS and other Bloomberg solutions to generate leads and drive revenue. You'll work closely with colleagues across the Enterprise Sales teams to gain a deep understanding of your clients’ business needs, and provide consultative solutions to build stronger relationships.
We'll trust you to:
  • Set and execute sales strategies to help drive the pipeline and achieve sales targets.
  • Leverage your technical knowledge across the Sell-Side Trading industry and the OMS landscape to fully understand clients workflow and their requirements
  • Develop and maintain key customer relationships, showing the ability to influence and drive partnerships to meet revenue targets
  • Collaborate effectively with Sales, Product Managers and other Enterprise Sales teams
You’ll need to have:
  • Business level proficiency in Japanese and English
  • Client facing experience in a Financial Services or a Financial Technology company within the past 5 years
  • Minimum 3 years of experience selling or supporting Sell-side technology workflow solutions to Institutional financial services clients
  • Experience of the Fixed Income or FX asset classes and its trade life cycle within the Sell-side industry
  • The ability to spot trends, new opportunities and establish credibility with our clients by understanding their business and workflows
  • Aptitude to excel in a fast paced, rapidly growing environment and continuous learning
  • Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organization
  • Strong presentation and communication skills in English
  • Bachelor's degree or degree equivalent qualifications
