Description & Requirements
Bloomberg’s Technology Infrastructure (TI) organization provides the compute, storage, network, and developer solutions that underpin every product our engineers build. Within TI, the Platform & API team is where infrastructure and product experience come together. We design and operate the developer-facing interface of TI’s Compute and Storage products. By making infrastructure access simple, fast, and self-serve, we enable teams to move quickly from idea to running application.
Our Team
The Compute API team is the developer-facing entry point to Bloomberg’s compute platform. We abstract the complexity of provisioning virtual and physical machines into clean, intent-driven APIs. Our work spans API design, distributed systems, and product modeling, using a stack that includes Python, Airflow, OpenStack, RESTful APIs, and relational databases. We uphold high technical standards by building declarative, deterministic systems that deliver stability and scale across Bloomberg’s infrastructure.
What’s In It For You
You’ll help shape the APIs that thousands of Bloomberg developers use every day to provision compute in a standardized, compliant way. The APIs and systems you design will power UIs, automations, analytics pipelines, and infrastructure tools across the company, directly influencing how engineers experience and interact with infrastructure.
We’ll Expect You To
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
We offer one of the most comprehensive and generous benefits plans available and offer a range of total rewards that may include merit increases, incentive compensation (exempt roles only), paid holidays, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, short and long term disability benefits, 401(k) +match, life insurance, and various wellness programs, among others. The Company does not provide benefits directly to contingent workers/contractors and interns.
