Based in NY, you’ll be part of Bloomberg’s Legal, Compliance, & Risk Chief of Staff team, working closely with colleagues across the Department. In this role, you’ll help drive better decision-making through reporting and metrics, enhance vendor management practices, and support the adoption of technology solutions that increase efficiency and transparency.
We’ll trust you to:
Support vendor management across Legal, Compliance, and Risk, including onboarding, engagement, and ongoing performance tracking of law firms and other third-party providers.
Develop and maintain reporting, dashboards, and metrics to provide visibility into spend, vendor performance, and operational effectiveness.
Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
Partner with Finance to support budgeting, forecasting, and accrual processes, improving transparency and predictability of spend.
Drive the adoption and effective use of technology solutions (e.g., e-billing, matter management, and AI tools) to enhance workflows and data quality.
Identify and advance opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance insights across vendor management and financial operations.
Partner with technology and business stakeholders to pilot, implement, and scale AI-driven solutions, including use cases such as spend analytics, invoice review, and workflow optimization.
Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable processes across vendor management, financial operations, and reporting.
Collaborate with colleagues across different groups to streamline operations and resolve issues.
Support financial operations, including invoice review and validation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with billing guidelines and agreed arrangements.
Track and manage key financial and operational elements such as AFAs, rate structures, and vendor-related data.
Identify and lead opportunities for process improvement, automation, and standardization across the department.
You’ll need to have:
5+ years of experience in operations, legal operations, vendor management, finance, or a related role.
Strong analytical skills and experience working with data, reporting, and metrics.
Experience with or interest in technology platforms (e.g., e-billing, matter management systems, or similar tools).
Ability to translate data into insights and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
Proficiency in Excel; experience with reporting or visualization tools is a plus.
Experience with or strong interest in AI, automation, and data-driven transformation, including identifying and applying practical use cases in business operations.
