What's the role?
We are looking for a proactive and customer focused professional to join our APAC Supply Chain team as a Supply Chain Specialist, based in Japan. This is a hybrid role that will initially focus on Equipment Return Support (ERS) for Japan, Australia & New Zealand markets, with the opportunity to progressively expand into Vendor Management support as the role matures.
In this position, you will play a critical role in ensuring a seamless client experience through effective equipment return coordination, strong stakeholder engagement, and a data‑driven approach to operational excellence. Over time, you will develop broader supply chain exposure, supporting vendor performance management, operational reviews, and regional process improvements.
We’ll trust you to:
  • Own and manage key metrics related to equipment return support, ensuring alignment with business goals and service standards
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external clients, gaining insight into their operational environments to support efficient equipment return processes
  • Coordinate and track hardware returns, monitor billing accuracy, and identify opportunities to improve hardware collection performance
  • Act as a primary point of contact for equipment return related queries from internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Support, Sales, Supply Chain, and other internal teams to support shared priorities
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize cost, service quality, and operational efficiency
  • Oversee on site or third-party vendor activities related to equipment returns, monitoring performance against KPIs
  • Support vendor management activities, including performance tracking, operational issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist with vendor business reviews, data analysis, and preparation of performance insights
  • Partner with regional supply chain and procurement teams to ensure vendor services align with operational and cost objectives
  • Contribute to the development and documentation of standard processes and best practices
  • Support regional initiatives aligned with transformation, sustainability, and service excellence goals
You’ll need to have:
  • 4+ years of professional experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Customer Service, or a related field
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust with both internal and external stakeholders
  • A customer centric mindset with strong problem solving capabilities
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Solid analytical skills and experience using tools such as Microsoft Excel for data analysis
  • Professional fluency in both Japanese and English (spoken and written)
  • A proactive, adaptable approach with willingness to learn and grow into broader responsibilities
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organization
We’d love to see:
  • Experience supporting or managing third‑party vendors
  • Exposure to supply chain KPIs, service metrics, or cost optimization initiatives
  • Hands-on experience with SAP or other enterprise systems
  • Experience working with regional or global teams
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Qlik Sense, or similar reporting tools
