This role will bring together stakeholders across platforms, products, and data domains to establish common standards, taxonomy, and ways of working. The leader will define and implement a cohesive framework that strengthens how data is managed, governed, and used across its lifecycle, while ensuring appropriate oversight of data-related risks.

As a Director-level leader, you will play a key role in building alignment across teams, establishing governance structures, and enabling consistent, scalable practices—balancing strong discipline with Bloomberg’s fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

We’ll Trust You To

Provide Oversight & Insight

  • Develop metrics and dashboards to provide visibility into data health, adoption of standards, and key issues
  • Support identification and prioritization of data-related risks and improvement opportunities
  • Provide input to leadership to inform prioritization and decision-making

Strengthen Controls & Regulatory Alignment

  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Privacy to ensure data practices align with regulatory and policy expectations
  • Support the design and implementation of practical, scalable controls across the data ecosystem
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in governance, oversight, and audit readiness

You’ll Need To Have

  • 8 – 10+ years of experience in data management, data governance, or related roles, ideally in financial services or a data-intensive technology environment

  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work across a matrixed organization
  • Solid analytical and program management capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications in data management and governance, such as CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional)
  • Training or certification in data governance frameworks, metadata management, or data quality management
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development in data, governance, and emerging data practices
