DataLayer is a library for performing efficient, reactive transformations of tabular data across applications in the Bloomberg Terminal. From sorting and filtering, to complex multi-level aggregations on real-time data, DataLayer is the engine that powers almost every grid of data in the Bloomberg Terminal.

The DataLayer Experience team in London is responsible for the developer experience of integrating the DataLayer library into Bloomberg Terminal applications. This covers the whole development lifecycle from providing type-safe TypeScript APIs to powerful developer tooling for building, debugging and testing pipelines of transformations. Every financial professional using the Bloomberg Terminal depends on DataLayer, and we serve the thousands of developers integrating DataLayer into their applications.
