BI is looking for a lead fixed income strategist to cover the Middle East & Africa and the GCC region as a complement to its broader credit and emerging market strategy offering within the growing fixed income research business.

What's in it for you:

You will be the lead strategist on all MENA and GCC fixed income. The role will start with a shared Associate support to help the franchise take off immediately. The strategist will work closely with the global credit strategy team, as well as partners within the Bloomberg ecosystem to deliver best possible product for our clients.


We'll trust you to:

Generate qualitative and quantitative research for Bloomberg’s global user base.
Candidates must be strong communicators, adept at data management, curation, and derivation, and have a firm understanding of regional debt markets as well as the Bloomberg terminal Given associate support, leadership, mentoring, guiding, teaching and directing workflows are crucial.


You need to have:

  • A minimum of 10 years professional experience analyzing and / or trading the asset class
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
  • Independent thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Ability to develop professional and collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues
  • Ability and willingness to integrate frontier technologies, including generative AI and automation, to improve research efficiency, quality, and data-driven analysis.
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg data and the Bloomberg family of indices
  • Bachelor's Degree as a minimum

We'd love to see:

  • Masters or PhD would be great
  • Strong knowledge of the Bloomberg Terminal and Indices
  • Strong Excel and / or python programming skills
