The Bloomberg Market Specialist team backs this up through being:

Comprised of former traders, portfolio managers, sales representatives, analysts, and more, the team also plays a vital role in improving the knowledge of our sales force and acts as a dedicated source of client feedback for our product development teams.
This role will be based in Dubai and will focus on supporting Bloomberg’s Equity solutions across the Middle East, working closely with institutional clients including asset managers, hedge funds, sovereign wealth funds, banks, family offices, and other financial market participants.
We’ll trust you to:

  • Act in an advisory capacity to our clients concerning the challenges they face and how they can use Bloomberg products and technology to address them.

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the competitor landscape and how this affects both internal and external customers.
  • Build and deepen relationships with key clients across the Middle East, acting as a trusted advisor to investment professionals, analysts, portfolio managers, and senior decision-makers.
  • Influence the direction of Bloomberg products through thought leadership, contribution to innovative ideas, and establishing relationships between Bloomberg’s decision-makers and our clients.
  • Establish your own roadmap of initiatives that align with the company’s product, sales, and commercial goals.
  • Maintain check-in points and self-report successes and challenges on these strategies.
  • Participate actively in new projects that drive departmental and firm-wide initiatives and goals.
  • Seek out additional ways to make an impact, such as mentoring, involvement in training, running campaigns, and active involvement in product enhancement.
You’ll need to have:
  • Extensive experience in equities, either as an Analyst, Portfolio Manager, Strategist, Sales Specialist, or in a closely related investment role.
  • A minimum of 10 years of practical experience working across financial services.
  • A sound understanding of fundamental analysis, including financial statements, ratios, company valuation metrics, models, equity screening, and investment research workflows.
  • Practical experience using the Bloomberg Terminal, or a similar product, and applicable equity market functionality.
  • Strong knowledge of public equity markets, including single stocks, indices, sectors, earnings, corporate events, ownership, estimates, and relative valuation.
  • The business insight required to use your knowledge and experience to make sound judgements and quick decisions that tangibly impact the commercial success of our business.
  • Proven consultative sales skills, including competitive market research, lead generation, prospecting, business development, and closing sales.
  • The ability to convey complex ideas and solutions in a simple and concise way to audiences both large and small.
