As part of a diverse and hardworking team of technicians, you will assist with the setup of the production work areas, including layouts, tooling, and equipment setup for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of the transition from development to production. You will manufacture, assemble, and test structural flight hardware assemblies according to written procedures and engineering models, drawings, and specifications. You will be responsible for operating various material handling equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, aerial lifts, flight vehicle and subassembly transportation equipment, truck-trailer combinations, and other ground support equipment as required. Set up and operate a wide range of precision calibrated tools including, but not limited to, torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, laser trackers, height gauges, and optical measuring instruments. You will perform second-party verifications and hardware inspections of engineering models, drawings, specifications, and written procedures.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, or Tube bending

  • Manual or Automated Welding Process Experience.

  • Ability to work with small hardware components and attention to detail.

  • Interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures

  • Work collaboratively with teams of diverse skills, disciplines, and backgrounds

  • Communicate clearly and appropriately, in writing and person

  • Basic computer skills such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.

  • Perform routine maintenance functions such as daily clean-up of work areas to support 5S, FOD, and ESD

  • A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with teams of diverse skills across large geographic distances

  • Ability to support Monday-Friday work schedule, work off-shift, extended hours overtime, and weekends if/when necessary

  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion

  • Ability to lift to 40 pounds.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

  • Requested and available shifts will be discussed during the interview

Desired:

  • Continuous improvement mindset. Our job is never complete; we are always refining and improving

  • Experience in Aerospace/Launch vehicle assembly

  • Experience in handling large aerospace components

  • Experience in assembling large tight-tolerance structures

  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification

  • Robotic Experience

  • F - Su (12 hours) C Shift
