This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.
As a key contributor to a rapidly evolving team, you’ll be instrumental in building the foundation for Blue Origin’s newest operating site. In this position you will take responsibility for identifying qualified suppliers, preparing request for proposals, evaluating responses, negotiating favorable commercial terms and pricing, awarding contracts for the acquisition of services, products, equipment, and construction supporting aerospace manufacturing, and managing these contracts through completion and close out.
Key Responsibilities
· Execute procurement projects from need identification and definition through contract close out.
· Prepare and execute solicitations, evaluate responses, negotiate, award business, and administer the contract through completion and close out.
· Manage the change process from solicitation of supplier change proposal, negotiation, and issuance of change order.
· Monitor supplier/contractor performance, report project or program status across the organization, identify supplier performance issues, and implement corrective action as required.
· Maintain accurate procurement files documenting each phase of the procurement process.
· Ensure suppliers comply with legal requirements, technical specifications, statements of work, quality requirements, scheduled delivery timing, and government regulations as applicable.
· Provide for contract administration including entry of purchase orders, invoice processing, cost tracking, and cost accounting.
· Identify qualified suppliers by performing market research, internet research, supplier interviews, financial evaluation, and reference checking.
· Manage supplier data to effectively grow Florida supply chain database.
· Identify, develop, and implement cost reduction opportunities.
· Implement cost reduction strategies through long term supply agreements with major suppliers.
· Promote and follow procurement “best practices” techniques.
Special Mentions
· Must be able to relocate to either Huntsville, AL OR Space Coast, FL.
· Relocation provided

Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or similar education
· 0-3 years of progressive procurement experience
· U.S. Citizen, permanent resident alien or otherwise legally authorized to review all export-controlled data
· Positive, can-do mentality
· Ability to organize and manage multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced demanding environment
· Must be able to effectively communicate with a broad range of people across, up and down all levels of the organization
· Must be an excellent priority setter
· Skilled in supplier identification, supplier evaluation, negotiation, and supplier development across multiple products, services, and commodities.
· Excellent verbal and written communicator
Desired
· Aerospace procurement experience
· Working knowledge of public procurement and Federal Acquisition Regulations
· Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Purchasing and Inventory Manager (CPIM)
· Demonstrated history of implemented major cost savings
· Construction and CAPEX purchasing experience
· Astute in Cost and Price analysis
Compensation Range for:
CO applicants is $52,800.00-$73,920.00Other site ranges may differ
