This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.This position reports to New Glenn's Avionics Test System Development Team. As part of a hardworking team of specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will be performing the mechanical system design for electrical test equipment supporting qualification and acceptance testing of the all of the flight avionics supporting New Glenn.
You will be working closely with electrical design engineers to define the test systems that will support these activities. This will include the mechanical design, integration and build of the test systems, release of these products in our PLM system, as well as supporting bill of material generation and procurement of these components. This will also support the build and integration execution with the technicians as well as long term operability for the test systems designed by the team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform 2D and 3D modelling of the electrical systems under design.
Manage bill of materials and assembly configurations for each respective system being worked on as well as supporting or leading formal release of the documentation for a production environment within our PLM system (Windchill).
Configure test setups, fixtures, and instrumentation per test plans and standards.
Coordinate manufacturing activities for build of each set of test systems. This will mainly be electrical racks, fixturing, and harnessing.
Commit redlines to existing documentation for updates during fabrication to ensure engineering documentation is executable.
Maintain test equipment, tooling, and testing area cleanliness and readiness.
Ensure all operations are performed safely, on time and in a professional manner.
Work with test, flight and safety critical hardware, tools, and shop equipment.
Identify, communicate, and mitigate cost, schedule, and technical risks.
Support development of test procedures and acceptance criteria documentation.
Coordinate with suppliers on acquisition of test materials and consumables.
Have frequent inter-organizational interactions on production test status and hardware disposition.
Work independently to determine and develop approaches to solutions.
Contribute to the mentoring & training of other personnel.
Minimum Qualifications:
3+ years of applicable experience with hands-on assembly and test of aerospace hardware or systems, and production test campaign execution.
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
General knowledge of test execution, instrumentation, and manufacturing coordination.
B.S. in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or Physics or related technical subject area.
Experience with work order management, materials procurement, and production scheduling.
Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Creo Parametric, AutoCAD Electrical, Visio, Windchill, Confluence, and JIRA.

WA applicants is $99,201.00 - $138,880.35Other site ranges may differ
