Practice Area
The Operations Practice (OPS) Area is one of BCG's largest functional practices. We help our clients create competitive advantage by enhancing their performance and building strategic capabilities. BCG’s expertise in Operations covers the following areas - supply chain management, procurement, manufacturing, service operations, cost efficiency, operational transformation, research & product development, program and project management, all with a strong digital and analytics overlay.
What You'll Do
As a Consultant/Project Leader, you will be a core member of our Operations Practice and will work alongside some of the world’s top minds in the area.
To solve our clients’ problems, you will be given end-to-end responsibility within significant Operations related projects. You will develop state-of-the-art strategic approaches and innovative solutions based on thorough fact-based analyses. You will work from strategy to execution, on different Operations complex matters in different industries. For example, you will work to:
- Reduce development lead-time for luxury manufacturers through agile ways of working
- Decarbonize major industrial projects for one of the largest oils companies
- Support an aerospace player to transform its manufacturing processes
- Develop Supply Chain control tower for a pharmaceutical company
- Lead Industry 4.0 transformation in a leading food company
- Develop a Lean production system for a truck manufacturer
- Lead a cost reduction program at a mining company
- Conduct a Procurement health-check and roadmap for an oil & gas company
- Field a turnaround program for a nuclear site construction
- Working across industries and operations topics, you will widen your scope of expertise and grow significantly through those new challenges both professionally and personally. Along this exciting journey you will be supported by senior mentors, excellent research and knowledge teams and career development experts who will help you to become highly successful in reaching both your personal and professional goals.
Joining BCG’s consulting team within our Paris OPS center you will be at the heart of innovation and changes ongoing today to achieve fundamental impact for our clients. You will significantly contribute to the practice’s ambitious growth target.
You will be based in France. Travel is expected and will vary based on project needs.
What You'll Bring
We’re looking for exceptional talents to join us. You would typically:
- Have 6 to 12 years of experience in the operations area
- Within your career so far, been able to apply sound knowledge in the field of manufacturing, supply chain and procurement
- Have experience actively managing multiple client and stakeholder relationships and networking within the client organization to understand their needs and help influence the client agenda
- Have the interpersonal skills to partner with executive management teams as they implement a new vision and passion for enabling leaders to drive change within organizations set you apart
- Be a collaborative team player with positive attitude, high ethical standards and experienced in international work
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English, in addition to a strong presence and leadership skills
