Practice Area
BCG’s Financial Institutions Practice Area (FIPA) aims to be the consultant of choice for leaders in the financial industry. We seek to achieve that goal by helping clients find their way amid the ever-evolving, ever-shifting competitive landscape. By focusing on the fundamental economics of their businesses and the underlying needs of their customers, we help banks, brokerages, asset managers and other financial- services organizations rethink their strategic assumptions, identify winning business propositions, and seize new opportunities in the expanding digital environment.
What You'll Do
A Project Leader/Principal has responsibility for the delivery of consulting projects, leading small but high impact work to drive impact for our clients. Project Leaders/Principals are typically aligned to one or two Industry or Functional Practice Areas (though may also lead projects outside these Practice Areas on occasion).
To solve our clients’ problems, you will be given end-to-end responsibility within significant Financial Institutions related projects. You will develop state-of-the-art strategic approaches and innovative solutions based on thorough fact-based analyses. You will work from strategy to execution, on different Financial Institutions complex matters in different industries. For example, you will work to:
- Lead operating model projects for various financial institutions.
- Manage daily consulting project execution and ensure successful delivery of client requirements.
- Develop comprehensive data for private banks, including revenue pools, growth projections, and key trends.
- Assist large banks in transforming their investment and asset management platforms.
- Guide content development within the consulting team.
Support the development of mid to long term strategies for commercial retail banks. - Manage project scope and work pace.
- Contribute to intellectual property development within Practice Areas.
- Contribute to business development efforts, including proposal preparation and pitch presentations.
What You'll Bring
- Have at least 8 years of experience in a leading strategy consulting firm (focused on Financial Services/Financial Institutions) or in banking and fintech
- You understand financial institutions' operating models and have experience in optimization projects.
- Have experience actively managing multiple client and stakeholder relationships and networking within the client organization to understand their needs and help influence the client agenda
- Have the interpersonal skills to partner with executive management teams as they implement a new vision and passion for enabling leaders to drive change within organizations set you apart
- Be a collaborative team player with positive attitude, high ethical standards and experienced in international work
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English, in addition to a strong presence and leadership skills
