WHAT YOU'LL DO
As part of BCG Federal, you will design and implement network solutions to enhance cloud network efficiency and end-user connectivity, critical to our business operations. This role involves managing all aspects of DNS/DHCP and IPAM within Azure, including the use of Client or Government Furnished Equipment. You will be responsible for delivering secure, highly available network infrastructure that meets the exact needs of our customers while ensuring operational excellence from design to delivery.
Examples include:
Designing and maintaining DNS platforms and IPAM solutions.
Implementing Azure service fabric, including private DNS and endpoints, with integration into standard Domain Controller DNS.
Ensuring security through testing, integration, and certification relevant to DNS, IPAM, and load balancers.
Leveraging cloud-first strategies with SaaS and service providers.
Rapidly delivering productized solutions to support projects.
Driving network automation and operational efficiency.
Handling escalations with a strong ownership mindset.
Supporting ongoing innovation and agile development within network services.
This role is crucial in advancing BCG Federal's network capabilities, delivering state-of-the-art solutions in both production and development clouds within Azure, and supporting our internal customers with cutting-edge infrastructure.
U.S. Citizen and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance required. Dual citizens may be subject to additional eligibility requirements.
YOU'RE GOOD AT
Leading DNS/DHCP and IPAM strategy-to-execution, aligning it to larger IT/ Network org objectives.
Assessing and implementing security solutions and ensure we build a robust and secure DNS/DHCP environment.
Stage, configure, install, document, and troubleshoot DNS, DHCP and IPAM infrastructure.
Support a fully virtual network where the only physical aspect is the user endpoint.
Support VDI and Developer environmental needs.
Maintain knowledge base and 'as built' documentation for all network services.
Work on a cross-functional team using agile development principles to build and release new features and bug fixes to meet rapidly evolving business needs.
Act as main contact to work with product vendor’s customer support and professional services.
Work with other internal IT teams such as security, development, and serviceability to resolve issues and release new capabilities.
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
College degree in computer/information sciences or related field preferred.
8+ years in DNS and classic networking; 3-5 years with Azure VNETs, NSGs, RBAC, and SDWAN.
Expertise in classic/zero trust networking, including routing and subnet/vnet management. Experience with Zscaler preferred.
Proven track record in implementing/supporting enterprise networks using best practices.
High proficiency in cloud connectivity; scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash, Terraform) is a plus.
Process-oriented, analytical, detail-focused, with strong communication skills.
Effective team player, delivering high-quality work with minimal supervision.
Capable of managing complex tasks and driving operational improvements.
Proactively solves non-routine problems.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, contributions to BCG’s Profit Sharing and Retirement Fund (PSRF), and a market leading benefits package described below.
We expect total annualized compensation for Washington, DC based employees to be approximately the following:
Base salary between $145,000 - $177,000 (USD); placement within this range will vary based on experience and skill level.
Annual discretionary performance bonus between 0-20%
5% Profit Sharing Retirement Fund (PSRF) contribution, increasing to 10% after two years of service. Contributions are vested immediately and there is no waiting period.
