WHAT YOU'LL DO
The role of the Talent Acquisition Senior Specialist is to drive the full spectrum of recruiting efforts and to fulfill the consulting staff people needs for the Denver office, including candidate pipeline development, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and converting candidates. This role will work with the Denver Recruiting Partner (RP), local office and core school Recruiting Directors (RDs) and regional recruiting teams to lead and execute the annual recruiting pipeline across OneBCG, entry-level core business consulting (Associates and Consultants) from both campus and experienced hire pools for the Denver office.
This role will work with the Denver Partners, Recruiting Directors (RDs), and the Talent Acquisition team to drive the development of the overall recruiting strategy for the Denver office, the implementation of this strategy, and the management of day- to-day operations of the Denver Talent Acquisition department. To the extent that the recruiting organizational structure and processes require change to ensure that these needs are met, the Talent Acquisition Senior Specialist will suggest and implement those changes.
This individual reports directly to the West System Talent Acquisition Director (TAD), but also works closely with the Recruiting Partner (RP), Recruiting Directors (RDs), and regional Talent Acquisition leadership.
YOU'RE GOOD AT
- Supporting the Denver office recruiting strategy development (jointly with TAD, RP, RDs)
- Overseeing office-specific recruiting efforts in support of annual Consultant and Associate hiring targets:
- Candidate pipeline development
- Sourcing, screening, interviewing, and converting candidates from managed schools/programs, formal channels (e.g., online applications, referrals), and candidates from "alternate" / industry sources
- Decision-round interviewing
- Offeree conversion
- Responsible for developing processes and driving change for new initiatives (e.g., short lead time recruiting, ADC recruiting, going deeper at core schools, strengthen presence at local schools)
- Managing the recruiting commitments process – e.g., select interview cadres, staff events, ensuring the right mix of consulting staff (tenure, gender, school background), making sure commitments are upheld, managing swaps process
- Developing and maintaining recruiting calendar
- Using the recruiting systems to generate correspondence, reports, interview and event invitations
- Collecting and analyzing information and data to evaluate the effectiveness of recruiting efforts, providing valuable input aimed at continuously improving our recruiting efforts, while monitoring the competitive environment
- Acting as the main initial contact for candidates for the Denver office; responding and following up with all candidate inquiries; establishing and building relationships with top priority candidates
- Scheduling, planning, and executing office-specific events
- Coordinating and executing first round and decision round interviews
- Monitoring and screening applications
- Liaising with HR for “on-boarding” of new hires (offer letters, signing bonuses, etc.)
- Preparing analysis and required reports, utilizing the regional analytics team as necessary
- Planning and executing welcome weekends
- Ensuring communication with staff around events (confirmations, logistics, feedback from the event)
- Ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies and principles are incorporated throughout the steps in the hiring process, from pipeline development to conversion; recommend creative and results-oriented ideas to cultivate a diverse pipeline
- Assist with annual budget planning and ensure budget allocations come in at or under plan
- Managing summer internship programs, including coordination and execution of orientation, training, case staffing, performance evaluation, and affiliation events
- Helping to lead and drive continuous improvement efforts in Denver office recruiting, working with other offices in the West System to improve recruiting efforts
- Managing short lead time recruiting efforts for the Denver office in close coordination with the system
- Ensure recruiting records, global database, and metrics are up to date and accurate
- Understand and enforce company and function policies, and manage risk
- Building networks and liaising with peers in other offices as well as regional recruiting to ensure alignment on all initiatives; actively participate in the Talent Acquisition Office Leads team calls, meetings and joint work
- Selecting specific responsibilities to deliver on above including:
- Specialist training and engagement
- Decision round candidate selection
- Candidate coaching and feedback, relationship support
- Conversion strategy and Offeree Captain coordination
- Offeree weekend and summer program strategy
- Conversion tracking
- Special analysis / project coordination
- Partner and Principal meeting, and Denver staff meeting support
- Supporting other Denver office initiatives, such as affiliation and engagement
- Leading and executing strategic projects as needed
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required
- At least 3-4 years of previous recruiting, HR or other related experience. Prior professional services recruiting experience a plus.
- Consulting experience or exposure a plus
- Experience working successfully within a complex matrix structured organization
- Flexibility and some travel required, particularly around peak recruiting season and planning weeks; Attendance at key evening and weekend events required
- Strong organizational skills with strong attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness
- Ability to set priorities, plan workflow and take initiative
- Analytical proficiency; facility with numbers
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and work well under pressure
- Ability to understand and manage complex reporting relationships and incorporate multiple labor laws and cultures
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, positive personal and professional image, high standards of professional behavior and ethics

YOU'LL WORK WITH
You’ll be working with a closely knit team of other West System Talent Acquisition team members. You will report directly to the West System Talent Acquisition Director, but also work closely with the Denver Business Management Leader (OC), Office Leader (OL), Denver Recruiting Partner (RP), Denver Recruiting Directors (RDs), and regional Talent Acquisition teams and leadership across North America, being the go-to person for all things Denver Talent Acquisition!
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
We expect total annualized compensation for Denver-based employees to be approximately the following:
- Base salary between $91,000- $111,000 (USD); placement within this range will vary based on experience and skill level
- Annual discretionary performance bonus between 0-12%
- 5% Profit Sharing Retirement Fund (PSRF) contribution, increasing to 10% after two years of service. Contributions are vested immediately and there is no waiting period
- First year annualized target total compensation: $103,194 - $125,874 (USD)
