What You'll Do

We are hiring a HR Senior Specialist to join our Business Services Team (BST) in Southeast Asia (SEA). SEA covers Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Philippines.

The role will focus on Performance Management & Career Development (CD) for our internal BST functions (People Team, Finance, Operations & Marketing) as well as support Recruitment activities for 6 offices in SEA. The role will play a key role in helping us manage career development and talent activities for our Business Services Team (BST).

You will be responsible for supporting and delivering aspects of the career development cycle, guiding line managers and employees with a particular focus on managing the CD activities. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing the CD and performance management experience for the Business Services Team (BST).

Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Performance Management & Career Development (CD) for BST

The role focuses on managing mid-year and year-end career development (CD) for BST Core Staff (CS) across functions - People Team, Finance, Operations & Marketing in SEA:

  • Work with BST Line Managers and Senior Directors to ensure CD, including promotion and progression is in compliance with established guidelines and BCG values.
  • Contribute to key CD initiatives, including development of communication materials and preparation of training sessions.
  • Independently co-ordinate aspects of our annual CD activities, monitoring and supporting performance feedback collection and respond to complex employee queries related to CD operations.
  • Prepare materials for career development meetings and support meeting logistics to ensure calibration meetings run smoothly
  • Work with line managers to ensure documentation for CD meetings are well prepared.
  • Participate in CD meetings, give value-added inputs on individuals, take minutes and prepare post meeting material.
  • Develop and continuously improving BST career development framework and process.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding all career development matters.
  • Generate reports and performance data analysis for pre and post CDC reporting as well as ad-hoc requests.

Confirmation Management

  • Manage and oversee the confirmation process, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
  • Implement and monitor Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) for underperforming team members.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Provide regular reporting and process improvements.

Other Responsibilities

  • Recruitment – acting as back up for all BST Talent Acquisition matters.
  • Risk & Compliance for BST.
  • BST Teaming/People Survey support.
  • Buddy program management.
  • Regular organization chart updates.


What You'll Bring

  • 5-8 years of professional experience within a service-oriented company
  • Experience either within HR/ people team, or in consulting firm (or any other professional services company)
  • Experience of supporting development, performance or promotion processes preferable
  • Strong performance management experience across functions and geographical locations
  • Experience managing multiple and competing demands through strong project management and prioritization skills
  • Able to engage stakeholders confidently and independently
  • Excellent command of English, both spoken and written
  • Digital savvy and strong passion for technology
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Results oriented with an ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Discrete and maintains confidentiality
  • Confident in the use of Outlook, Powerpoint and Excel
