What You'll Do
You will serve as a Senior Manager or Director on BCG’s Global Communications team, leading the firm’s efforts in reputational risk monitoring, policy analysis, identifying trending issues, and crisis management. Reporting to Global Communications leadership, you will proactively identify, assess, and track emerging risks and high-impact issues across a broad spectrum of topics—including global geopolitical affairs, U.S. policy developments with global implications, social issues, financial trends, and media narratives—that may affect BCG’s reputation, operations, and business strategy.
You will develop and execute comprehensive reputational risk mitigation strategies that align with BCG’s global business objectives, offering strategic counsel to senior leaders across the firm. Your insights will shape the firm’s external engagement on priority topics such as economic policy, practice area policies, technology, and regulation. You’ll play a critical role in translating complex and fast-evolving policy environments into clear, actionable intelligence for internal stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft policies and communication strategies that reflect and reinforce BCG’s values and positions.
In this role, you’ll work closely with senior leaders across Communications, Risk, Compliance, and the Office of the Global Chief of Staff, as well as other relevant functions and regional leadership teams. You will also support executive positioning and incident response efforts, including the preparation of statements, talking points, and internal guidance to manage sensitive issues effectively.
You will be responsible for documenting and formalizing workflows related to issue and risk topic management in collaboration with other cross-functional teams. This includes establishing repeatable processes for evaluating and escalating risks and shaping the firm’s enterprise response.
You will scan the horizon across media, political, and digital platforms to proactively identify emerging trends and issues BCG should analyze for reputational or brand risk. Your ability to synthesize developments in the external landscape and translate those into implications for BCG will be key in preparing executive-ready briefings and recommendations that support decision-making.
You will also bring strong consulting-based PMO skills, with the ability to coordinate and drive cross-functional workstreams that result in timely, actionable policy and risk guidance for firm leaders.
You will help ensure that BCG is well-positioned to anticipate and respond to reputational risks by building internal awareness, strengthening response frameworks, and fostering external relationships with key stakeholders who influence the environment in which BCG operates.
