What You'll Do

This role sits within BCG’s Global Compensation Team and is part of the central Global Reward Centre of Expertise, which oversees the strategy, management, and development of Reward programs across our Consulting Teams, Specialty Businesses, and Business Services Teams.

As the Global Compensation Senior Manager, you will work as part of the Global Compensation centre of expertise acting as a strategic business partner, advising on compensation strategy and execution for BCG’s global business functions within Business Services. In addition to working with the Global Functions, you will also support global initiatives within the Global Reward team.

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as an advisor to leaders, HR and Finance on compensation design and execution
  • Lead country salary range analysis and reviews based on market conditions and survey data and following globally consistent practices
  • Provide market benchmarks for a wide range of roles, which are sometimes unique and complex
  • Ensure internal equity and alignment is maintained as comp changes are made in similar and related roles within BCG
  • Provide market trend insights to key stakeholders on compensation related matters
  • Deliver guidance on senior level compensation offers, ensuring alignment with BCG’s global standards and market competitiveness
  • Drive and support annual and mid-year salary reviews and bonus processes, including contributing to the design and delivery of guidance HR stakeholders
  • Provide training and support to HR and Finance on compensation best practices
  • Drive and support global compensation-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives

As part of the Global Compensation team, the role holder will also be expected to work with the Global Compensation Senior Directors on appropriate projects, and to provide cover for other team members in periods of high demand.
The work is fast paced, challenging, and an integral part of the People function. The role requires an individual with a proven ability to ramp up quickly and run with projects, to be a self-motivated team player, capable of functioning well in a global and multicultural setting, and can effectively influence across diverse business contexts.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree+
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in compensation practices in a corporate or consulting environment
  • Sound knowledge of compensation models, structures and vehicles, including executive compensation
  • Sound analytical skills and comfort to determine a way forward when data is ambiguous
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to engage stakeholders across levels effectively
  • Record of solving complex problems, with creative, data-driven solutions
  • Advanced MS office Excel and PowerPoint; think-cell an advantage
  • Knowledge of #Slack, Sharepoint and Trello an advantage
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
