Practice Areas:


This role will be uniquely positioned between the Marketing, Sales, and Pricing (MSP) functional practice area (FPA) and the Consumer industry practice area (IPA).

BCG’s Consumer Practice is one of the firm's largest industry practice areas and continues to grow across all regions. BCG’s Consumer practice creates breakthrough innovations for clients in the three sectors: consumer goods, retail, and fashion & luxury.

BCG’s MSP practice works with leading companies that choose to embrace revolutionary opportunities to redefine the future of customer demand & innovation, marketing, pricing, sales, and customer experience. The eCommerce / CX topics have experienced significant growth within BCG, driven by innovative offerings in the AI space and beyond.


What You'll Do:


As a Senior Analyst – BCG Vantage in a Client Focus role within the Customer Experience / eCommerce / Consumer topics, you will work in a growing global team, delivering value to clients via individual expertise and/or institutionalized BCG Vantage assets (products, tools, data, workshops, frameworks, surveys, domain-specific data and related expertise, etc.).

You will also support commercialization efforts for the eCommerce / Digital Growth topics by contributing insights based on key stakeholder trends and developments, helping craft proposals, client workshops, and marketing materials. You will also contribute to developing intellectual property and assets for the business, and assist in onboarding and training of junior colleagues.

Occasional travel to serve clients onsite during staffing assignments is expected to understand client requirements and design/develop solutions.



What You'll Bring

Necessary experience for this role:

  • 2+ years of consulting experiences in relevant sector/topic - in lieu of consulting experience, 4+ years of industry experience recommended
  • Deep expertise in eCommerce business models, growth drivers, and innovations across the ecommerce value chain
  • Experience in one or more of the following: DTC eCommerce, B2B eCommerce, Marketplaces, or omnichannel retail
  • Strong business acumen, problem-solving capabilities, and exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for staying up to date on the latest ecommerce and consumer trends (GenAI, Agentic, etc.), an entrepreneurial spirit, and a track record of building successful working relationships with senior stakeholders

Ideal candidates have experience:

  • Conducting quant / qual research to understand customer needs and pain points
  • Building data-driven business cases to prioritize eCommerce investments and innovations

Optional/nice to have qualifications:

  • Hands on keys experience in financial modelling, conversion rate optimization, A/B testing, product management, retail media, social commerce, or performance marketing
  • Working fluency in additional languages


Who You'll Work With

As a Senior Analyst – BCG Vantage, you will work face to face with clients and with BCG Project Leaders, Associates and Consultants. In the period between cases, you will collaborate with global topic leads and colleagues across BCG to bring expertise and capabilities to the service of our internal and external clients. Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, retirement contribution, and a market leading benefits package described below.

  • The base salary range for this role is $100,450.00 - $105,816.67

This is an estimated range, however, specific base salaries within the range depend on various factors such as experience and skill set. It is not common for new BCG employees to be hired at the high-end of the salary range. BCG regularly reviews its ranges to ensure market competitiveness.

In addition to your base salary, your total compensation will include a bonus of up to 16% and a generous retirement contribution that starts at 5% and moves to 10% after 2 years.
