What You'll Do

  • As a Marketing and Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for executing and implementing marketing and communications strategies that enhance the visibility and market presence of BCG in Switzerland, operating under the guidance of the Marketing Manager and in collaboration with Managing Directors & Partners (MDPs) to support key initiatives and drive impactful results. As a part-time position, the role will prioritize internal initiatives, with flexibility to support external campaigns and media activities as time permits. This role will involve close collaboration with the Zurich office team, local leadership, and a Central Europe marketing counterpart.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You’ll be responsible for planning and implementing projects related to internal and external communications in the Swiss market, ranging from mailings to external campaigns to our intranet, to name just a few examples.
  • As capacity permits, your responsibilities will also include promoting business-related topics, preparing business and specialist media studies, and supporting interviews with BCG Senior Management.
  • As part of your role, you’ll also maintain and expand our contact with journalists and editorial offices.
  • In addition to monitoring and analyzing press reports, you’ll identify company-relevant topics, trends, rankings, and surveys.

What You'll Bring

  • You have completed an academic degree, ideally in communications, marketing, economics, or social sciences.
  • You have two to five years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably in a consulting environment, communications agency, or editorial office.
  • You have experience with CMS and social media management tools. A grasp of basic graphic or video editing tools is a plus.
  • You are flexible, work well under pressure, and are extremely reliable.
  • Your written and spoken English and German language skills are excellent; some knowledge of French is a plus.
  • You are familiar with MS Office software and have experience using it for professional communications work.
  • You're a great team player and highly value thoughtful, collaborative communication, and commitment to meaningful initiatives.

You're good at

  • You’re quick to grasp new topics and always willing to dive into unfamiliar territory. Along the way, you generate strong ideas that help drive your team forward—because for you, “good” is never good enough.
  • You have solid project management experience, leading projects with a high level of ownership.
  • You think in line with the 360-degree principle and know how to tailor content for all relevant channels in a target-group-appropriate way.
  • You are innovative, adaptable, and analytically inclined, and you approach topics proactively and energetically.
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and drive improvement. You work in a structured and organized way and always have an eye on timelines and deliverables.
  • You pride yourself on being both highly organized and adaptable and are able to keep a cool head and perform effectively even under pressure.

Who You'll Work With

You’ll be part of a three-member “Country Excellence” team based in Switzerland and dedicated to driving Marketing and Communications efforts for the Swiss market. While your primary focus will be on engaging with key stakeholders in our Zurich and Geneva offices, you will also collaborate closely with colleagues across BCG’s broader Central Europe region. The CE team brings together a variety of complementary profiles, fostering a dynamic and collaborative working environment. Your manager will support you in getting familiar with the organization and developing your professional skills. In addition, you will be able to continuously draw on the experience and expertise of your teammates.
