What You'll Do
As a Manager in the Energy Sector, you will work closely with client leadership to:
- Define and execute end-to-end business and technology transformation strategies and programs to address major energy transitions and regulatory changes.
- Lead high-impact digital transformation initiatives across areas such as energy trading platforms, digital twins, smart technologies, and data-driven operations.
- Drive the adoption of modern IT architectures across the entire energy value chain—from upstream exploration and production, through midstream transmission and distribution, to downstream refining, trading, and retail.
- Implement cutting-edge solutions leveraging AI, blockchain, cloud computing, IoT, and big data analytics – tailored to the specific needs of energy sector clients.
- Evaluate and coach our clients’ technology teams to enhance operational resilience and innovation readiness.
- Manage project execution, risk, and client relationships while presenting results to senior stakeholders and C-level executives.
- Lead diverse case teams and mentor junior colleagues, providing regular feedback, coaching, and learning opportunities.
What You'll Bring
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in IT consulting, digital strategy, or technology transformation, ideally in the energy industry.
- A proven track record from a top-tier consulting firm or a strategic role in a technology/digital department of an energy company.
- Deep understanding of the energy ecosystem, including renewables, conventional energy, trading, grid tech, or industry regulations.
- Experience in managing technology-enabled transformations in areas like smart grids, renewables integration, energy trading, or upstream optimization.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to creatively address complex technical and business challenges.
- Familiarity with modern tech stacks, Agile methodologies, and legacy modernization in the energy domain.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong customer focus.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with experience in client facilitation and executive presentations.
- A university degree in a STEM discipline or business/energy-related field with above-average academic performance.
- Fluency in English, and French or Dutch (additional languages welcome).
