What You'll Do
We are seeking a strong candidate to serve as Global People & Special Projects Manager for the Financial Institutions Practice Area (FIPA) globally. This role serves as a strategic business partner and thought leader to the FI Leadership team, the Specialty Businesses, and BCG People leaders. They will drive forward the demand strategy and execution across different BCG businesses by engaging deeply with & influencing a diverse set of leaders and stakeholders. The Global People & Special Projects Manager will work hand in hand with the global FI team.
The Global People & Special Projects Manager will have the following specific responsibilities:
- Talent monitoring
- Establish and maintain what success looks like for FI talent agenda (KPIs)
- Further build-out of People Dashboards to track our talent pools and gaps
- Closely monitor Practice sentiment through ongoing 1:1 engagement with FIPA affiliates
- Analyze survey results (with emphasis on PA questions) and lead follow-up actions
- Advance the diversity & inclusion agenda, with a focus on Women in FI and Project Sandy
- Drive FIPA Flagship Programs
- Angel Mission: Lead the program in close collaboration with FI Angel Mission Ambassadors and Global Program sponsors. Own the communications cycle and elevate the initiative into a core cultural pillar for FI.
- Morieux Medals: Manage the program as FI’s recognition vehicle for content excellence. Partner with the Global Program sponsor and LT to identify quarterly winners based on KN submissions, and build visibility and consistency so the program achieves the same level of recognition as Angel Mission
- Internal engagement
- Develop and execute the internal engagement plan (emails, Townhalls, etc.) in collaboration with FI GPMD and Marketing
- Project manage FI Global meeting (with input from GPMD and PAL), provide guidance and input to regional meetings
- Enable local affiliation (i.e.. Best practice sharing across regions), and in particular through the FI Global Nodes Forum
- Support ad-hoc FI and cross-PA engagement initiatives
- Learning
- Design and lead FI learning curriculum through FI Big Win and FI.Academy, in collaboration with EMESA Regional Director and Marketing Director, as well as partnering with extended BCG learning teams for support, ideas, and inspiration
- Special Projects
- Partner with the Global Leader for Climate & Sustainability in FI to track and manage opportunities, with a strong focus on Climate Risk
- Maintain tracking tools (e.g., Excel), coordinate discussions with leaders, and prepare/source materials for proposals and client meetings (in partnership with Vantage)
- Lead regular communications on FI’s Climate & Sustainability work for FI, C&S, R&C, and SI audiences
- Capacity dependent, this role has the possibility to take on additional initiatives as part of the broader FI Management & Operations team.
What You'll Bring
- Prior experience in a consulting firm is a must – in a consulting or people management role, in order to ensure a deep understanding of our target audience's needs and skills in their role
- 6-8+ years' total work experience
- Advanced degree (Masters, MBA, JD, PhD, etc.) preferred
