Who We Are
Our strategy? To be anything but typical strategy consultants! Our unconventional nature is embedded deep in our DNA. Over 60 years ago, BCG shook up the world of strategy consulting. Now, it has grown to become one of the world leaders in the field. How do we manage to stay ahead of the pack? The answer is simple: by reinventing ourselves every day and providing a home with diverse career opportunities to the best talent and most creative minds all over the world. And by giving you the chance to make an impact in business and society. BCG stands for authenticity, exceptional work, and strong integrity. Once you’ve become part of the Group, we’ll help you find your path, unleash your potential, effect change, and advance the world. #jointhegroup
Our most vital resource is our people. That’s why Human Resources is one of our most vital teams: From recruiting to career development for BCGers, from training and mobility support to staffing (assigning our consultants to client casework), the Human Resources Team plays a decisive role in making BCG not just a company, but a Group in which every employee can become their best.
What You'll Do
As a Talent (Senior) Specialist, you will be part of our Talent Management Unit (TMU) supporting our consultants on the Associate and Consultant levels. As part of the TMU, you and your team of Talent Specialists and Talent Junior Specialists will be the central point of contact for our consultants in regard to all HR- and career-related topics—from operational personnel planning (case staffing) to traditional career development—starting from when they join BCG.
In the context of case staffing, you’ll ensure that our Associates and Consultants are optimally assigned to projects, staffing them to best meet client needs and align with their personal career planning.
As a member of the core Career Development Committee (CDC), you’ll be responsible for supporting all CD processes, including preparing and following up on career development meetings and preparing the bonus process and integrating it into the promotion processes of the consultants you support. In doing so, you will work closely with the respective Career Advisors on the committee.
As a Talent (Senior) Specialist, you’ll also act as a central contact for HR inquiries and connect BCGers needing further consultation with the right person in our HR expertise functions, thus performing a key interface function as a navigator within the HR universe at BCG. For each HR topic, you’ll always look for solutions that take both business and people needs into account while keeping in mind the development of our colleagues as a whole and communicating decisions independently, in a calm and empathic manner and with diplomatic skill.
