“Your business is our business.” If our Business Management and Operations Team had a slogan, that’s what it would be. The fact is, though, that the members of this team are far too busy ensuring our consultants’ work is efficient and productive to have the time to come up with slogans. Whether Executive or Management Assistant, Receptionist, Facility Staff member, Team Lead, or Office Manager: Each and every member contributes directly to our consultants’ success—and thus to that of our clients.

What You'll Do

As a dynamic and motivated Facility Management and Internal Services Assistant, you’ll help the Düsseldorf office team and the Office Operations Senior Manager complete processes in the area of facility services, support internal projects, and contribute to the implementation of security concepts in the office.

You’ll be a competent point of contact for the property management regarding internal repairs and relocations (e.g., room or floor changes). You’ll oversee all building functions, ensure that furniture and equipment meet our standards, and independently carry out minor repairs. In this context, you’ll also coordinate external service providers, monitor the quality of their work, and handle follow-ups as needed.
Your responsibilities will also include setting up and dismantling furniture for meetings or events, handling logistics tasks, and managing consumables and stock. You’ll process print and copy jobs in our in-house copy center, maintain equipment and materials, and take care of restocking office supplies, kitchen goods, and other essentials.
If you enjoy working with your hands, we encourage you to use your creativity to build or craft small, functional solutions that improve our office environment such as fixing furniture, assembling custom elements, or mounting office equipment.
You’ll also supervise a small team of student assistants, planning their shifts and assigning tasks. As part of the broader Office Operations team, you’ll collaborate closely with reception, IT, and local leadership to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Depending on business needs, you may support larger internal infrastructure projects such as relocations or renovations, coordinating vendors, tracking inventories, or assisting with implementation. You’ll also contribute to workplace safety, with the opportunity to train as a fire safety assistant and first responder.
This role offers a high degree of ownership, practical variety, and visible impact on our day-to-day office life.

YOU’RE GOOD AT

  • You take initiative and own your responsibilities in a hands-on, solution-oriented way.
  • You work independently with a structured, reliable, and responsible approach.
  • You’re able to stay flexible and open when facing new tasks, processes, or changes.
  • You learn new tools and systems with curiosity and persistence—you’re not afraid to dive into something unfamiliar.
  • You enjoy applying your technical understanding and manual skills to solve practical challenges creatively.
  • You use digital tools like Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint with confidence and accuracy.
  • Your communication style is clear and kind—whether with colleagues, external partners, or service providers.
  • You are approachable, respectful, and service-minded in all your interactions.
  • You excel at collaborating closely with a team and contributing to a positive, supportive atmosphere.
  • You keep a close eye on the functionality, safety, and order of the office environment.
Handling sensitive topics and documents with discretion and trustworthiness is a matter of course for you.
  • You maintain high quality in everything you do—without losing sight of what’s practical.

What You'll Bring

  • Ideally, you have completed technical or commercial trainingfor example in facility management, skilled trades, or building services. However, we also welcome applicants with practical experience in roles such as caretaker, technician, painter, carpenter, or similar hands-on positions.
  • You bring a good technical understanding, manual skills, and a practical, solution-oriented mindset.
  • You are open to training in fire protection and occupational safety (e.g., fire safety assistant, first responder).
  • You are confident using MS Office tools, especially Outlook.
  • You speak and write German fluently, and have a good level of English.

Who You'll Work With

Youll be a member of a team of two, as well as of the broader office operations team (reception desk and local IT) and will work together closely with the Office Operations Senior Manager. Your team supports and helps each other. Your coworkers are all highly cooperative, because a good team atmosphere is extremely important to us.
