Who We Are

The North America Financial Planning and Analytics Team focuses on developing content expertise, critical business analytics, strategy development, and financial projections in partnership with senior leaders to drive key business decisions. As a Financial Analyst within the Business Analytics team, you’ll work collaboratively across the broader FP&A and Timesheet Management teams connecting key business processes with their impact on North America revenue and other key financial metrics. You’ll have frequent interactions with North America stakeholders including Timesheet Management, Revenue Analysis team, and the Staffing team. These teams work closely together to drive timesheet tracking and revenue recognition in North America. The North America FP&A Business Analytics team plays a key role in facilitating analysis and efficiencies in partnership with these teams. This role will be an exciting opportunity to join this unique part of the North America FP&A team to bring collaboration and technical enhancements to processes critical to BCG financial performance. This role will also be at the forefront of learning BCGs next generation of digital technologies in North America FP&A (BCG’s generative AI tools, Power Query, SAP, etc), supporting and teaching others on the team.

As a Financial Analyst, you will work collaboratively within the team and across the organization to support our local colleagues, regional leadership and other stakeholders. This will include:

• Partnering with Timesheet Management, Revenue Analysis, and Staffing colleagues to improve reconciliation processes through development of digital tools

• Partnering with Global Business Intelligence & Analytics and local office colleagues to improve and drive adoption of the latest digital management reporting tools and dashboards.

• Developing and evolving analyses to create insights into drivers of key financial metrics as it relates to timesheet corrections and submissions

• Providing technical support for Timesheet Management team, aiding in more complex business questions that require strong analytical skills

• Assisting with additional FP&A analytics projects as needed, identifying trends in impact to financial key performance indicators

• Building expertise in analytical tools over time (for example - SAP4Hana, SAP Business Objects, SharePoint Workday, Excel, Power Query, Power Automate, Alteryx, Chat GPT Enterprise, etc) to assist in enhancing processes as needed and teach others on the team

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or Math

• 1-3 years of finance-related experience

• Basic Proficiency in Excel (formulas, workbook structure, formatting); more advanced Excel knowledge (VBA), SharePoint, SAP S4Hana, SAP Business Objects, Power Query, Power BI, Power Automate, Alteryx, or Tableau experience a plus

• Prior experience in a professional services environment a plus

The Business Analysis Team focuses on developing content expertise, problem solving, business partnering, teaming, and customer service. We work closely with our local and corporate teams to drive positive change and unlock further value for BCG leadership. Our team has deep expertise across many aspects of the business (including revenue, investments, staff deployment, value-based pricing fee arrangements, pricing, etc.) and serve as thought partners to North America leadership and our local office colleagues.


The Analytics team sits at the intersection of business strategy and operations within North America; as firm needs change over time, projects and job responsibilities may change.

Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, contributions to BCG’s Profit Sharing and Retirement Fund (PSRF), and a market leading benefits package described below.

We expect total annualized compensation for Boston-based employees to be approximately the following:

  • Base salary between $82,000- $100,000 (USD); placement within this range will vary based on experience and skill level
  • Annual discretionary performance bonus between 0-12%
  • 5% Profit Sharing Retirement Fund (PSRF) contribution, increasing to 10% after two years of service. Contributions are vested immediately and there is no waiting period
  • First year annualized target total compensation: $87,000 - $106,000 (USD)
