Our most vital resource is our people. That’s why Human Resources is one of our most vital teams: From recruiting to career development for BCGers, from training and mobility support to staffing (assigning our consultants to client casework), the Human Resources Team plays a decisive role in making BCG not just a company, but a Group in which every employee can become their best.
What You'll Do
As a Talent (Senior) Specialist, you will be part of the CEE & CE Talent Management Unit (TMU) and will serve as the central point of contact for our Associates and Consultants on staffing- and career-related topics.
In this role, you will act as a strategic partner to both employees and management, providing guidance, support, and expertise throughout the lifecycle of our consulting team. You will also serve as a sparring partner to management on staffing-related topics and decisions.
Your key focus will be to ensure that Associates and Consultants are staffed optimally across projects, balancing business needs with individual career development goals. This will involve regular interaction with Managing Directors & Partners (MDPs), Career Development Advisors, and consultants to understand development needs, preferences, and career ambitions.
The role includes tracking and updating team availability and commitments, facilitating communication with management and consultants on staffing, career development, and HR-related topics, and providing guidance on project assignments and professional development. You will be expected to communicate decisions independently, with calm judgment, empathy, and strong diplomatic skills.
Additionally, you will handle staffing requests for short-term projects and business development cases, proactively drive cross-office staffing, and maintain an accurate consultant database while ensuring alignment with the firm’s business and financial priorities. The role also includes onboarding new hires, improving internal processes, and building strong internal relationships to enhance the team’s effectiveness and efficiency.
What You'll Bring
- You have successfully completed a vocational or other college degree, ideally with a focus on human resources.
- You have 2–5 years of experience in human resources, HR business partnering, or personnel resource planning in a service-oriented, dynamic working environment, preferably in management consulting.
- You are able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks in parallel.
- Ideally, you already have experience in assessing people’s potential, enabling you to optimally assign our consultants to suitable client projects and accompany their development in the best possible way.
- You are proficient in MS Office software (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and enjoy working with collaboration tech such as Slack and Trello.
- Your written and spoken Hungarian and English language skills are excellent.
Who You'll Work With
You will be part of the CEE team, working closely with colleagues in Prague and Warsaw, while also contributing as a member of the broader CE team through regular collaboration across the region. This collaboration is characterized by mutual support, regular experience sharing, and a high level of trust. Integrity is the team’s top priority. You’ll report directly to the CEE Talent Senior Manager, who will be there for you during your orientation phase and support you in your professional development. You will also always be able to draw on the experience of your coworkers.
