What You'll Do
As a Talent Partner, you will play a pivotal role in driving the people agenda for your assigned Business Unit or Function (BU/F) as part of BCG’s Global Businesses and Functions (GBF) People Team.
In this role, you will lead the talent agenda for your function, advising on talent development (including promotions and talent reviews), performance management, and talent insights. Working in close partnership with the HR Business Partner (HRBP), you will enable high-quality, fair, and forward-looking talent decisions that strengthen functional capability and performance over time.
You will focus on elevating the quality of talent conversations, bringing structure, insight, and sound judgment to ensure consistent, transparent, and well-calibrated outcomes.
1. Functional Talent Development
- Partner with functional leaders and the HRBP to set and advance clear talent priorities.
- Guide workforce planning within agreed guardrails, ensuring disciplined, data-informed decisions.
- Maintain a strong view of the function’s talent landscape, including retention risks and capability gaps.
- Ensure alignment with global standards while tailoring for functional context.
- Coordinate across HR, Compensation, Learning, and Talent Acquisition to drive a cohesive talent approach.
2. Project Delivery
- Lead functional talent initiatives, ensuring clear scope, timelines and outcomes
- Develop senior leadership ready materials that turn complex talent topics into clear decisions/ actions
- Support global talent initiatives to improve end to end talent processes, ensuring Talent Partners have a voice on talent topics
3. Talent Insights
- Partner with Talent Insights and Compensation teams to generate focused, decision-ready insights, highlighting recommended actions.
- Equip leaders with clear materials that enable confident, well-informed talent decisions.
4. Career Development & Performance Management
- Lead Career Development Committees (CDCs) up to Director level, driving strong calibration and a consistent promotion bar aligned with global criteria.
- Strengthen quality of talent reviews through structured preparation, clear evidence, and action focus.
- Oversee compensation cycles to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery.
- Surface key themes (e.g., promotion rate, succession risk, engagement trends) and translate them into targeted actions.

- Leading disciplined, well-calibrated talent forums that reinforce consistency and transparency.
- Engaging credibly with leaders, navigating sensitive discussions with confidence, and influencing with tact
- Synthesizing data and qualitative input into concise insights and materials.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized; effectively managing talent initiatives end-to-end while improving processes for greater clarity and efficiency.
- Partnering across the broader HR ecosystem (Compensation, Learning, Talent Acquisition, Talent Insights) to bring integrated, high-quality talent solutions to leaders.
What You'll Bring
- Talent Management Experience| Proven experience in a talent management role within a complex, global, matrixed organization, advising leaders on career development and performance management. Plus, experience in a people consulting role is desirable.
- Analytical and Digital Fluency| Strong analytical mindset with demonstrated ability to use metrics and data insights (e.g., from Workday) to inform decisions.
- Consulting & Facilitation Skills| Skilled in leading talent discussions and coaching leaders.
- Projects & Change| Proven ability to lead talent initiatives and drive change, with strong proficiency in developing clear, decision-ready materials (PowerPoint, Excel, Workday).
