Platinion was founded in 2000. Since then, we have grown continuously and successfully. Today we have offices in Europe, North and South America and Asia Pacific.

Practice Area

BCG Platinion launched in Germany in 2000 to add deep technical expertise to the Boston Consulting Group’s existing capabilities. Today, our presence spans across the globe, with offices in Asia, Europe, and South and North America. Our New York-based North American team began in 2014 and in 2017 acquired MAYA Design, a Pittsburgh-based digital design and innovation lab, to grow our capabilities around technology and design.

We support our clients’ total digital transformation through technology, design, cybersecurity, and risk management & financial engineering capabilities. And together with BCG, BCG Platinion’s interdisciplinary team of technical experts enable customized technical solutions and accelerate delivery value through new business platforms, application consolidations, and major system implementations.

What You'll Do

At BCG Platinion you will work alongside a bold, energetic and collaborative team. You will evaluate and coach our clients' technology teams, define technology strategies, manage quality and risk while maintaining client expectations and escalations. You will help us design the future. You will develop and grow by being exposed to new and complex challenges daily. Interacting with the client's leadership team together with the BCG Platinion leadership team, you will develop superior digital and technology concepts and architecture solutions as well as manage requirements and configurations actively by applying your sound technical know-how, your understanding of business contexts, and your analytical and conceptual skills.

Our clients expect BCG Platinion to provide sound advice on all relevant IT issues. In particular, the migration to the SAP S/4HANA solution against the background of the planned maintenance stop in 2027 presents our customers with special challenges. The number of questions regarding "why" and "how" is increasing and is also influenced by external factors.

In order to serve our customers even better, we would like to strengthen our SAP team. Together with our customers, you will actively develop superior ERP SAP methodology, concepts and solutions and apply your sound technical and process-related understanding.

What You'll Bring

• At least 15 years of relevant experience in the context of strategic ERP/SAP projects.

• Strong methodological background, knowledge of relevant procedures in the context of SAP enabled transformarions such as SAP Activate, , Agile@SAP, Hybrid Agile and waterfall methodologies

• Proven experience in delivery of large SAP transformation programs, including template design, build activities (including software engineering quality management), testing, data migration, deployment and support.

• Knowledge of the corresponding supporting procedures and tools (process template management, solution manager, release management/transportation, process modelling ...), incl. modern CD/CI environments (Jenkins).

• Experience in managing SAP Signavio, Tricentis, Panaya applications is desired.

• Overview of SAP S/4HANA and business solutions that are relevant in the context of large transformation projects (e.g., in the context of manufacturing, PLM, MES, etc.).

• Overview on modern, data-driven overall architectures, in particular the overall integration of different individual modules to end-to-end processes (Purchase-2-Pay, Order-2-Cash, Lead-2-Quote, Record-2-Report, Hire-2-Retire etc.).

• Solid understanding on options to extract data from SAP and create data enabled platforms is desired

• Experience in SAP licensing methodologies (RISE, SAP Public Cloud, On-Prem) as well as good understanding of SAP partnership options (CCFlex, VAR)

• Experience with the management of decision processes at large organizations level.

• Ability to align individuals and organizations to a common goal.

• Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills, strong customer and results orientation and mental agility.

• Fluent English.
