What You'll Do

As a Project Leader/ Principal in BCG’s Financial Institutions Practice in Bogotá, you will lead consulting teams and work closely with senior executives at banks, fintech, and other financial institutions to address their most critical strategic and operational challenges. You will play a key role in structuring complex problems, developing recommendations, and ensuring projects deliver meaningful and sustainable impact.

You will collaborate with colleagues and industry experts across LATAM region and BCG’s global network to help clients navigate disruption, accelerate digital transformation, strengthen risk and regulatory capabilities, and unlock new growth opportunities.

Examples of engagements may include:

• Developing a core cards platform for a retail bank in Latin America
• Developing a generative artificial intelligence strategy for a retail bank in Latin America
• Revamping the organization and target operating model for the collections function of a state-owned commercial bank
• Formulating a growth strategy for the payments business of a fintech payment services company
• Designed an asset management strategy for a Universal bank in Latin America

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

• Lead project teams to analyse complex challenges and deliver strategic recommendations for financial institutions
• Translate analytical insights into clear, actionable strategies for senior client stakeholders
• Manage project execution, ensuring high-quality delivery, strong collaboration, and timely outcomes
• Build trusted relationships with client leaders and facilitate productive discussions and decision-making
• Coach and develop junior consultants, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment
• Contribute to knowledge development and thought leadership within BCG’s Financial Institutions practice
• Support business development activities, including proposal preparation and client engagement

What You'll Bring

• 7 to 12 years of relevant experience in top-tier consulting, financial services, or a related industry with demonstrated consulting experience
• Deep expertise in banking, payments, fintech or asset management
• Experience in digital or technology strategy in the financial institutions sector
• Demonstrated expertise in project management and leadership to provide proficiency in
• prioritizing and balancing multiple project demands
• Excellent analytical, and strategic thinking abilities to develop transformative solutions
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills to engage and align cross-
• functional teams
• Adept at relationship building and client management across various levels.
• Commitment to inclusivity, developing others and creating an environment of mutual trust and respect
