What You'll Do
As an integral member of the Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) People Team, the Senior HR Advisor provides strategic and Operational HR support to the BST population (with teams across Operations, Marketing, Finance, People etc.) This role combines thought leadership with hands- on delivery, partnering closely with stakeholders to drive engagement, performance, and people initiatives aligned to the broader HR strategy.
Strategy and engagement
- Partner with the HR Director to implement the HR strategy for the Business Services team including driving change initiatives to build engagement and create a sense of belonging
- Lead and deliver strategic HR projects, including initiatives such as AI upskilling and workforce capability building
- Act as the ANZ Teaming champion, to upskill and activate effective teaming disciplines in all BST ANZ cohorts
HR Advisor to the Business Services team
- As a trusted advisor, provide expert HR advice and coaching to the functional line managers across various topics, including engagement, high performance, effective teaming, career development, wellbeing, learning & development, and employee relations matters, including performance issues and grievances
- Work with the HR Advisor to oversee all HR operations activity across the employee life cycle and execute on all HR operations activity for our broader People Team including, generating letters and updating our HRIS database; Workday
- Coordinate and assist with analysis and presentations for management, executive meetings and staff engagement sessions, providing insights that help shape our people agenda
- Work with other members of the People Team to support broader people activities including diversity and inclusion and health and safety
- Partner with Shared Services to ensure efficient delivery of operational HR processes and identify on-going opportunities for improvement and efficiency
Performance Management
- Manage the annual Performance and Development Process (Perform, Develop, Grow) and provide ongoing coaching to manager and employees to improve the quality of reviews and conversations
- Act as thought partner to BST Managers and employees throughout annual process
- Act as a Workday systems expert to provide best practice guidance and advice to users, provide relevant training and act as the main point of contact for all local users
Compensation and Reward
- Drive the compensation and reward cycle by preparing, analysing and communicating data
- Provide ad-hoc benchmark data when required
- Prepare and distributing salary review and bonus communications
Learning and Development
- Design and evolve a best-in-class learning and development offering for a diverse BST population
- Continuously review and enhance the annual learning curriculum to meet evolving business needs
- Manage L&D budgets and oversee delivery of programs, including facilitation where required
What You'll Bring
- A tertiary level qualification in Human Resources or related field
- Demonstrated prior experience in a similar generalist or business partner type role, preferably in a fast-paced professional services environment
- Proficiency in MS Office- Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel, as well as AI platforms, including ChatGPT/Claude
- Workday experience desired, but not essential
- Saba, Online Learning Platform
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills- written and verbal
- Displays a high level of professional conduct including establishing trust and maintaining confidentiality
- Ability to work autonomously with a high level of resourcefulness and responsiveness
- Organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to plan ahead
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- High level of integrity and proven ability to generate trust
- A desire and willingness to be flexible, responsive and provide outstanding service
