What You'll Do
WHAT YOU’LL DO
The SEA Career Development (CD) Specialist is part of the Southeast Asia People Team, supporting the firm’s performance management and career progression processes for the Consulting team.
At BCG, “Career Development (CD)” refers to the structured process covering performance evaluation, feedback, promotion decisions, and talent reviews. In this role, you will manage the end-to-end CD cycle, working closely with the Career Development & Integration Manager and partnering with senior consulting stakeholders across SEA, APAC, and global teams.
You will play a central role in ensuring a rigorous, fair, and well-run performance management process, while also driving continuous improvement and supporting the rollout of new CD systems and tools.
This role requires strong organization, stakeholder management, and analytical capability. You should be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, handling sensitive information, and working with large datasets to generate insights that inform talent decisions.
YOU’RE GOOD AT
Performance Management Delivery
- Manage the end-to-end CD (performance management) cycle, including planning timelines, coordinating stakeholders, and aligning with promotion schedules
- Facilitate quarterly CD meetings, including performance reviews, calibration, and promotion discussions
- Prepare pre-read materials, summaries, and post-meeting outputs (minutes, decisions, action tracking)
- Ensure quality and consistency of evaluations by reviewing, calibrating, and following up with evaluators
- Partner with CD Chairs and Advisors to identify cohort trends and define performance actions
- Ensure all documentation and inputs are complete, accurate, and aligned ahead of review discussions
Operations & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for CD-related queries, including onboarding and orientation for new hires
- Allocate Career Advisors across the consulting population
- Support performance and bonus processes for non-Officer consulting staff
- Coordinate CD processes for transfer candidates (inbound and outbound)
- Support identification and tracking of high-potential talent, including retention and progression planning
- Manage MBA sponsorship candidates, including onboarding, tracking, and ongoing support
- Collaborate with regional and global HR, Finance, and Consulting teams to ensure alignment and data accuracy
- Proactively identify and implement improvements to CD frameworks, tools, and processes
Data Management & Analysis
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records for all consulting staff within CD systems
- Track and manage case evaluations and feedback on an ongoing basis
- Generate regular and ad hoc reports (e.g., attrition, tenure, promotion readiness)
- Conduct data analysis to support performance discussions and talent decisions
- Ensure strict confidentiality and integrity of all career development data
Additional Responsibilities
- Provide analytical support for the SEA year-end bonus process, including detailed Excel-based modeling and stakeholder coordination

What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Business, Human Resources, or a related field
- 4-6+ years of relevant experience in HR, preferably with exposure to performance management, talent processes, or consulting environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage complex, deadline-driven processes with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience in database management and reporting
- Strong analytical capability, including experience working with large datasets and translating insights into actions
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
