We work in a uniquely collaborative model across the firm and throughout all levels of the client organization, generating results that allow our clients to thrive.

What You'll Do

As the Global L&D Strategy & Transformation Senior Director, you will lead BCG’s L&D Strategy & Transformation Office - the central engine driving the evolution of our global learning ecosystem for all BCG employees.

Reporting to the Chief Learning Officer, you will support the transformation of the L&D organization as evolves to meet BCG’s current and future talent aspirations. That will require development and oversight over the transformation roadmap (milestones, activities, KPIs, etc.) using strategic, end-to-end thinking. You’ll ensure L&D delivers business outcomes as you oversee a portfolio of strategy execution, innovation, AI-enabled learning, and operational transformation. Together, we will redefine how BCG builds skills—shifting from a traditional, programmatic model to a data-informed, AI-powered learning experience that delivers both world-class foundational learning and rapid, on-demand capability building.

As a hands-on leader, you will lead a multi-disciplinary team, including:

  • Transformation & PMO (strategy execution, governance, prioritization)
  • Change & Communications (adoption, stakeholder engagement, narrative)
  • Finance & Analytics (investment strategy, performance measurement, insights)
  • Innovation & AI Enablement (rapid experimentation, AI-driven learning, future capabilities)
  • In parallel, you will act as the orchestrator across the broader L&D ecosystem, ensuring tight alignment and seamless collaboration with:
  • L&D Business Partners
  • Learning Architecture & Curriculum teams
  • Learning Product & Operations teams
  • HR, Talent, and IT organizations
  • Your role is to ensure that the full system works as one—connecting strategy to execution, innovation to scale, and business demand to learning impact.

YOU’RE GOOD AT

  • Translating strategy into execution at pace and scale - Turning evolving business needs into clear priorities, funded initiatives, and tangible outcomes
  • Leading through a system of teams - Setting direction and driving alignment across multiple specialized teams, ensuring clarity of ownership, strong interfaces, and minimal friction across the ecosystem
  • Building and scaling transformation offices - Establishing governance, prioritization, and execution discipline across complex portfolios, including PMO, investment management, and change frameworks
  • Orchestrating complex ecosystems - Connecting strategy, innovation, operations, and business stakeholders into a cohesive model that accelerates delivery and reduces duplication
  • Designing next-generation L&D operating models - Creating “two-speed” learning systems that sustain core curriculum excellence while enabling rapid, agile skill building in emerging areas
  • Driving innovation and AI-enabled transformation - Leading teams that experiment, prototype, and scale new learning products, including AI-driven and adaptive learning solutions
  • Influencing senior stakeholders globally - Partnering with business and functional leaders to shape demand, align priorities, and drive adoption
  • Embedding data-driven decision making - Using analytics and insights to prioritize investments, measure impact, and continuously improve the learning ecosystem
  • Leading change at scale - Crafting transformation narratives and driving adoption across a global, matrixed organization

What You'll Bring

  • 12–15+ years of experience in strategy, transformation, or enterprise program leadership
  • Proven experience leading multi-team, cross-functional organizations or transformation offices
  • Strong track record of delivering large-scale transformation in complex, matrixed environments
  • Experience working closely with executive leadership (C-suite or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of learning, talent, or capability building (preferred but not required if advanced in transformation skillset)
  • Familiarity with digital, data, and AI-driven business transformation
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and allocate resources across a portfolio
  • Strong leadership presence with exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • High learning agility and comfort operating in ambiguity and rapid change
  • Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred

Who You'll Work With

You will sit at the center of BCG’s global L&D ecosystem, reporting to the Chief Learning Officer and leading the Strategy & Transformation Office.

Your Direct Leadership Scope Includes

  • Transformation PMO & prioritization
  • Change & communications
  • Finance, analytics, and performance management
  • Innovation and AI enablement teams
  • You will closely collaborate with:
  • L&D Business Partners to align learning to business needs
  • Learning Architecture & Curriculum teams to embed innovations into core learning journeys
  • Learning Product & Operations teams to scale and sustain solutions
  • HR, Talent, and People Strategy teams to connect learning to broader talent priorities
  • IT and Product teams to deliver the future learning technology ecosystem
  • This role is designed to act as the central integrator—ensuring that all parts of the L&D system operate in a coordinated, high-impact way to deliver faster, more relevant, and more scalable learning outcomes.
