What You'll Do
Talent Management function is driven by the dynamic BCG consulting environment. It plays an active role in trying to find the best balance between the strategic and commercial business needs and the consulting team career development needs.
The Talent Management Specialist will support the Manager in all staffing, CDC and mobility processes, with exposure and interaction with BCG Brazil Management Team, consulting staff members, HR and Finance teams. He or she will also be expected to interact effectively with other colleagues in offices across the BCG global network.
Core Responsibilities
- Key point of contact for Associates and Consultants about CDC, Career Path, Staffing and Mobility
- Establishes preliminary CDC calendar
- Support Career Development administrative processes including collection of feedback, reviews’ reading and calibration, internal controls and preparing CD packages
- Support and manage effective relationships with CD advisors and consulting core staff, recommend advisor/advisee distribution based on internal criteria
- Maintain updated data in the internal CD systems including reviews, upward feedback, MDAs
- Request evaluations on a periodic basis and follow through to make sure that high quality reviews are delivered according to timeline proposed
- Attend CDC meetings and contribute to the discussion
- Develop CD analysis and dashboards leveraging findings to help defining Training, staffing, besides other needs
- Identifies and raise CDC issues/enhancements that could have an impact on the career development and evaluation process.
- Identifies individuals’ areas for improvement and aligned with next staffing projects
- Proactively stay informed about local sales development efforts, upcoming projects and expected staffing requirements, always trying to find the best balance between strategic, commercial and personal requirements
- Maintain Staffing central databases updated as well as developing weekly and monthly KPI reports
- Support the Staffing developing availability forecasts and other on demand analysis related to the Staffing policies and processes
- Support in managing the allocation of unstaffed resources
- Maintain adherence to staffing guidelines by communicating rules to requesting teams – e.g. balanced teams, travel policy etc
- Take responsibility for monitoring training dates and annual leave requests from consulting staff alerting the Manager where necessary on project conflicting vacations or trainings
- Support the teaming coach’s
- Proactively engage with the Finance Team in order to ensure up-to date data for all ongoing cases (teams, duration, case numbers etc) liaising with the relevant parties in case of any changes
- Participate in weekly conference calls with worldwide staffers to assess regional staffing opportunities for consultants and communicate staffing needs from Brazil
- Support on the visa process and immigration process and prepare invitation letters to foreigners coming to Brazil for business purposes
- Develop processes to track visa status and ensure legal compliance, including Brazilian documentation
What You'll Bring
- At least 5 years of HR related work experience preferred
- BA/BS degree
- Fluent in English
- Strong analytical skills and comfortable with the use of data-based systems and report running. Ability to perform analyses and translate them into different report formats.
