What You'll Do
You will work closely with the Global Manufacturing Business Line Lead (Topic Leader), report to the PA Offer Senior Director, and work with other members of the Operations PA Management Team, as well as BCG’s sector teams and broader Client Team. As an Offer Senior Manager, you will lead and coordinate the activities required to develop and scale our global Manufacturing offer, in particular:
- Drive the offer strategy with the Topic Leader and the Manufacturing leadership team
- Screen market evolution, competitor offers, and projects sold by case teams; identify white spots in the Manufacturing offer
- Review the offer portfolio and help drive portfolio decisions (architecture, new offers, offer evolution and selection), including linkages to adjacent offers (Supply Chain, Procurement, Cost, and other OPS offers)
- Lead Value Proposition, Vision, and Roadmap for the Key initiatives of the Manufacturing offer
- Develop OKRs with the Manufacturing topic teams; organize regular progress reviews (e.g., quarterly) and adapt
- Help orchestrate the right governance and agile operating model
- Set up and orchestrate offer squads (in Regions and with Sectors)
- Manage and ensure continuous improvement of tools and processes supporting teams (OKRs, collaboration tools, ways of working)
- Orchestrate go-to-market with industry sectors and adjacent offers
- Generate affiliation and collaboration across FPAs and IPA Sectors, help set up joint teams/squads
- Drive offer and GTM customization efforts with Sector teams (campaigns, moonshots, priority clients, etc.)
- Drive Manufacturing client reference conversions
- Coordinate offer development initiatives
- Own and manage the backlog: maintain and help prioritize the list of initiatives to develop the offer, based on identified needs (Client Team feedback, client surveys, market signals)
- Coordinate collaterals and assets development with relevant stakeholders
- Contribute to content development as needed (POVs, frameworks, tools, publications, benchmarks)
- Help articulate and package the offer (incl. links with other BCG offers)
- Support marketing activities targeting internal/external stakeholders
- Develop the offer narrative and marketing plan with the leadership team and PA Marketing; drive deployment, including the offer’s presence on BCG.com
- Prioritize client marketing initiatives and measure their impact
- Contribute to internal/external events presentation (WWOMs, Worldwide PA meetings, roundtables, etc.)
- Work with Analyst Relations to provide differentiators for analysts and amplify messages to industry executives
- Lead capabilities building plans
- Bring together the right mix of BCG roles and skills (BCG X, ECTs, BCG Vantage, SBUs, etc.)
- Support training, upskilling, and enablement of our teams (e.g., GenAI, Manufacturing AI etc.); role-model AI-native ways of working and embed GenAI tools into offer development, content, and GTM workflows
- Monitor business performance and capture market feedback
- Analyze revenues per sector, region, and client; monitor lead flow and proposal pipeline; develop the SATT strategy in partnership with PA Finance
- Monitor case pipeline and trendy topics, conduct win/loss analysis
- Gather feedback from case teams on how to evolve and enrich the offer; identify white spots
Manufacturing is a strategic priority within BCG’s Operations Practice Area. The offer addresses how clients reinvent the way products are made: smart factories, AI in Manufacturing, automation, operational excellence, etc. We bring these capabilities together to support clients across industries through performance transformations, capability building, and digital reinvention.
You’re good at
- Successful candidates will feel comfortable operating in a "start-up mode" within BCG and with multiple players, have strong project management skills, the aptitude to see and hold the big picture, yet also manage the details. Comfort with ambiguity, evolving priorities and eagerness to lean in to support team/projects when needed, are also pre-requisites.
In particular, successful candidates will show the following abilities:
- Orchestrate complex agendas, align senior leadership, prioritizing activities and working with others to get things done (in a distributed organization)
- Collaborate and communicate with various teams and individuals, with different level of seniority in different geographies and with different background; be able to communicate with senior leaders and be a connection point for the community
- Manage and execute projects efficiently; provide hands-on support to multiple activities, often requiring strong consulting skills (slides writing, effective communication, some analytics, …)
- Able to manage defined accountabilities with broader impact to the firm
- Self-starting with a strong work ethic, entrepreneurial drive to work autonomously
- Able to manage multiple senior stakeholders, build consensus, persuade, influence and negotiate
- Managing ambiguity with a high level of comfort, able to work in a context where ownership, accountability, and way forward maybe unclear
- Operating effectively in a matrix organization with the ability to prioritize and make decisions
- Working independently to identify need for, scope, gain endorsement and drive implementation of commercially impactful initiatives
- Avid networker being able to interlink different parts of the BCG universe
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain discretion when needed
What You'll Bring
- 8 to 10+ years of relevant experience (industry or consulting), with a Manufacturing background strongly preferred (operations, manufacturing, Industry 4.0, smart factory, or digital operations)
- Master’s degree preferred
- Highly knowledgeable and analytical mindset
- Previous experience in BCG is a plus, ideally as Project Leader, Senior Vantage staff, or BST Manager/Sr. Manager
- Demonstrates in-depth Manufacturing topic and functional expertise
- Ability to lead more complex, broader sub-functional teams or projects fully independently and provide direction to others
- Ability to resolve complex issues and non-defined problems autonomously, with full business acumen
- Strong interpersonal skills, credibility, and executive presence
- Ability to influence senior members of the PA and beyond
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced knowledge in Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel; general GenAI fluency, with confidence applying AI tools to personal and team productivity, content development, and GTM

Practice Area Management & Operations team members keep BCG’s industry and functional practice areas operating responsively and efficiently. As a member of this team, you will contribute directly to the success of our business through a number of roles, including content development, process management, marketing, meeting and conference management, and internal/external communications.
