What You'll Do

This role sits within the AP Staffing & People function, reporting into the X AP Staffing Director, and is accountable for delivering high-quality staffing outcomes while contributing to talent planning priorities for BCG X Delivery.

You will play a key role in staffing leadership for X Consulting across AP, balancing business demand, client priorities, and individual development goals. In parallel, you will lead a small team and support continuous improvement across staffing operations, reporting, and workforce planning activities.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Staffing and Deployment Leadership
    • Own end-to-end staffing outcomes for BCG X chapters across SEA, ensuring thoughtful deployment aligned to business priorities and individual development goals
    • Drive demand-supply matching across projects, proposals, and internal initiatives, making clear and well-informed staffing recommendations
    • Maintain visibility across short- and longer-term staffing pipelines, identifying risks, constraints, and opportunities early
    • Partner closely with stakeholders across X leadership, case teams, and product teams to support staffing prioritization and resource planning discussions
    • Ensure staffing decisions are executed consistently, fairly, and with consideration for diversity and transparency
    • Act as a trusted point of contact for talent, providing guidance on staffing options, development opportunities, and career trade-offs
  • Talent Development & Experience
    • Embed development priorities into staffing discussions, helping ensure individuals receive opportunities aligned to their growth goals
    • Build strong relationships with engineers, analysts, and product talent to understand preferences, strengths, and development areas
    • Reinforce career development messaging in partnership with People, HR, and CDC stakeholders
    • Support onboarding experiences for new hires within X Consulting, helping ensure effective early staffing and integration into the business
    • Provide input into performance and people discussions, contributing to a consistent and positive talent experience
  • Workforce Planning & Insights
    • Identify staffing trends, skill gaps, and demand patterns to support workforce planning and hiring discussions
    • Provide staffing insights and reporting to AP leadership on utilization, capacity gaps, and evolving skill needs
    • Partner with Recruiting and staffing leadership to inform hiring priorities and cohort planning discussions
    • Highlight emerging business needs and support adjustments to staffing approaches where appropriate
  • Team Leadership & Operations
    • Lead and support a small staffing team, helping drive capability building, collaboration, and engagement
    • Set clear priorities and maintain high-quality execution across staffing activities
    • Oversee staffing data accuracy, reporting quality, and operational processes
    • Support resolution of complex staffing challenges and escalations in a timely and thoughtful manner
  • Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
    • Drive adoption of new processes and tools through stakeholder alignment, communication, and training
    • Support the ongoing evolution of staffing processes to improve scalability, efficiency, and user experience
    • Identify opportunities to simplify workflows, improve transparency, and enhance operational effectiveness
    • Track staffing KPIs and contribute ideas for continuous improvement
    • Support implementation and adoption of new staffing tools, processes, and ways of working


What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8+ years of experience in staffing, talent management, HR business partnering, or similar roles
  • Experience operating in complex, fast-paced, and stakeholder-heavy environments
  • Interest in digital product development (engineering, analytics, product, design)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Fluency in English
