What You'll Do

As an Office Experience & Events Specialist at BCG’s Washington, D.C. office, you'll independently deliver outstanding workplace experiences and coordinate engaging events that reflect our culture and values. In this dual role, you'll manage daily office operations and lead event planning from concept to completion. Working closely with internal teams and external vendors, you'll ensure a seamless, professional office environment while fostering employee connection and engagement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting daily office operations including execution of our local catering strategy and food programs
  • Overseeing vendor relationships, coordinating routine and specialized maintenance, promptly addressing operational issues, and tracking facility improvements
  • Managing office supplies, including procurement, inventory tracking, budgeting, and forecasting for office, kitchen, and event-related needs
  • Assists in planning and executing internal events ranging from large-scale celebrations to smaller meetings and gatherings, handling logistics such as catering, setup, AV coordination, communications, and on-site management
  • Serving as a liaison between internal teams (Facilities/ Hospitality, IT, Concierge, Admin Services) to ensure smooth operations and seamless event execution
  • Developing and managing event communications, including creating invitations, handling RSVPs, outreach, and analyzing attendee feedback
  • Tracking and maintaining event budgets, processing invoices, negotiating with vendors, and reconciling expenses
  • Contributing to strategic Office Experience projects, recommending innovative ideas, and driving improvements to enhance workplace satisfaction and employee experience
  • First back-up for Concierge Team, acting as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and staff, setting the tone for the overall office experience in this highly visible role
    • Greeting visitors professionally, handling guest registration, escorting, and providing visitor information and amenities during their visit
    • Assisting employees and visitors with navigating office spaces, utilizing the desk reservation system, and facilitating guest IT access (e.g., Wi-Fi, badges)
  • Monitoring the concierge inbox, managing visitor access requests, and printing employee and guest badges while ensuring compliance with security protocols
  • Triaging and communicating meeting-support requests, such as IT needs or administrative support, to relevant teams for timely execution

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience in office operations, event coordination, administrative support, or hospitality, ideally within a professional services or client-facing environment
  • Proven experience coordinating logistics, managing vendor relationships, and executing internal events and workplace activities
  • Ability to independently handle operational tasks, proactively resolve issues, and mentor junior team members effectively
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; willingness and ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication
  • Experience maintaining budgets, tracking expenses, and efficiently coordinating resources
  • Ability to safely lift and move supplies weighing up to 35 pounds as needed
  • Flexibility to occasionally work overtime, particularly during events or busy periods, with required in-office presence five days per week

This role currently requires 5 days a week in office presence. This in-office plan allows for critically important learning, collaboration and networking with our colleagues.

Compensation Information:

Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, contributions to BCG’s Profit Sharing and Retirement Fund (PSRF), and a market leading benefits package described below.

The base salary range for this role is $69,000-$77,000.

This is an estimated range and specific base salaries within the range depend on factors such as office location, experience, and skill set. It is not common for new BCG employees to be hired at the high-end of the salary range. BCG regularly reviews its ranges to ensure market competitiveness.

In addition to your base salary, your total compensation will include a discretionary bonus of up to 12% and a generous retirement contribution that starts at 5% and moves to 10% after 2 years.
