What You'll Do

The EP&P Operations Associate will primarily support the Global Procurement organization by delivering global supplier onboarding & maintenance as a part of Enterprise Procurement & Payables (EP&P) Operations Reporting to EP&P Manager, Supplier Onboarding, you will ensure systems and process are updated to accelerate value proposition for the company.

  • Support the Supplier intake / onboarding process and act as the procurement point of contact for the same.
  • Support supplier maintenance process providing time zone, language and local office coverage for all supplier and business issues.
  • Adhere to the SLA for various operations activities to be undertaken by supplier management (SM) service line under EP&P Operations.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of completion for all supplier management support tickets/incidents and escalations routed to EP&P Operations.
  • Ensure a strong governance mechanism is in place for effective supplier on boarding including risk attributes gathering, due diligence checks and risk assessment.
  • Manage/Collect/Load all necessary documents for suppliers e.g. Regulatory/compliance /tax/legal documentation in the system including following up to get the same.
  • Maintain Vendor Master Data in our system to a high level of data integrity, and in our Vendor Portal also manage suppliers’ distribution list and mass mailing.
  • Acting as liaison with Accounts Payable regarding invoicing issues, supplier terms.


What You'll Bring

  • University degree or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience preferably in a service center, managing supplier intake operations, running related procurement operations or procurement consulting
  • Experience of managing SLA and performance for support
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills with experience of managing multi-geographies across time-zones
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint),
  • Proficiency in Purchase-to-pay tools (e.g. Coupa, Ariba, Emptoris, Oracle, etc.)
  • Global experience within the professional services industry to procurement or related function

BCG spends $1.3B on goods and services across the firm globally. At its core, Procurement is accountable for ensuring that BCG is supplied with goods and services that meet business requirements, drive value and at best whole life cost to BCG.

The functional procurement team at BCG is a healthy, yet nascent operating function that has generated material savings to BCG over the past 5 years. Over the past 18 months, we’ve embarked upon a procurement transformation to define and implement strategies, organization, systems and policies to create a sustainable operating model. This model should maximize value from our suppliers, mitigate risk and meet savings targets. BCG is a highly matrixed firm where purchasing decisions are often taken at the local level, therefore this transformation will need to be carried out with high levels of stakeholder engagement, alignment and collaboration.

The BCG Global Procurement function is currently made up of more than 40 procurement professionals located in London, New Delhi, Boston and Munich. This Procurement Operations Associate position will be supporting the team on a strategic and operational level.

Scope of work will be global, regional as well as local, requiring relationship building, sell-in capabilities and sensitivity to local requirements. The individual taking on this challenge must possess a very high level of self-motivation/drive, persistency, resourcefulness and a willingness to facilitate change.
