What You'll Do
As a Finance Analyst Intern, you will rotate across multiple Finance teams within BCG’s Lisbon Capability Center, gaining exposure to a broad range of financial operations, planning, analytics, and business partnering activities. This 12-month internship is designed to provide hands-on experience across different finance environments while building foundational technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills in a collaborative global setting.
You will work closely with Finance professionals supporting teams including Global FP&A, Commercial Finance, Specialty Business Unit Finance, and Finance Business Partnering. Throughout the program, you will contribute to operational and analytical workstreams while exploring opportunities to improve processes, automate recurring activities, and apply AI-enabled solutions to day-to-day finance workflows.
- Support financial analysis, reporting, and operational activities across rotating Finance teams
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and business performance tracking activities
- Assist with data analysis, reporting preparation, and insight generation for stakeholders
- Help identify opportunities to improve finance processes, workflows, and team efficiency
- Support automation and AI-enabled initiatives that enhance day-to-day finance operations
- Collaborate with global and cross-functional teams on ongoing projects and operational priorities
- Participate in a capstone project focused on operational improvement and/or process automation
- Build familiarity with BCG finance tools, systems, and ways of working through hands-on experience
What You'll Bring
- You are completing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field
- You bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- You are comfortable working with large sets of data and interpreting financial or operational information
- You demonstrate curiosity about strategic planning, process improvement, automation, and AI applications in business environments
- You communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders
- You are adaptable, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a rotational environment
- You manage priorities effectively and deliver high-quality work within deadlines
Who You'll Work With
You will work with a broad network of Finance professionals across BCG’s Lisbon Capability Center, including teams in Global FP&A, Commercial Finance, Specialty Business Unit Finance, and Finance Business Partnering. Throughout the program, you will collaborate with colleagues across different functions, teams, and geographies while gaining exposure to a variety of finance activities and business priorities.
You will work closely with managers and team members who will support your development through hands-on learning, mentorship, and rotational experiences. The program is designed to provide exposure to different ways of working across Finance while helping you build foundational business, analytical, and collaboration skills in a global environment.
Additional info
This is a paid, 12-month rotational internship program based in Lisbon, Portugal. Interns will rotate across two Finance teams during the program, with approximately six months spent in each team. The internship includes onboarding, hands-on project experience, and a capstone project focused on operational improvement and/or automation initiatives.
